Applications are invited for the position of Website Specialist. At PhoneWatch, almost all of our customer interest is driven through our website. We now have an exciting opportunity within the Irish Marketing team for a Website Specialist.
The Website Specialist will be responsible for maintenance and day to day running of the website to ensure optimal performance, user experience, and compliance with industry standards. This role involves a combination of UX, content management, SEO optimization, and analytics monitoring to support the company's digital presence and marketing strategies.
Responsibilities of the Website Specialist:
Content Management:
- Oversee and manage the website's content, ensuring that content is up-to-date, relevant, and engaging for users.
- Proven experience working with content management systems (CMS), such as WordPress or Drupal, Umbracco, Typo3 etc.
- Some experience in content design; Canva, Photoshop, Adobe.
- Collaborate with Group Marketing function, local content, and SEO agencies to produce new website content, ensuring that it is keyword optimized.
- Have a 360° view of Lead Acquisition activities to serve the best user experience on the website, converting visitors into leads and sales opportunities.
- Creation of landing pages for products and services, partners, promotions and more.
- Manage a continuous blog feed.
User Experience, CRO and AB Testing (UX):
- Work closely with Group Marketing UX designer to implement visual and interactive elements of the website, focusing on UX/UI principles to enhance navigation and user engagement.
- Design and conduct A/B tests to compare different versions of web pages and identify which performs better in terms of user engagement, conversion rates, and other key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Use insights from A/B tests to make data-driven decisions on web design, content, and functionality improvements.
- Collaborate with Group Marketing to brief any new development requirements based on test results.
SEO Optimization:
- Work closely with local SEO agency to implement SEO strategies to improve search engine rankings, including keyword optimization, meta tags, and content optimization. Monitor performance and adjust strategies as needed.
- Monitoring of technical SEO performance
- Brief Technical SEO improvements to Group Marketing for development and implementation.
Data & analysis
- Use tools like Google Analytics to monitor the website's performance, analyse traffic, understand user behavior, and make data-driven decisions to improve the site's effectiveness. Monitor performance and KPIs in line with CRO & SEO strategies.
- Set out monthly dashboards and reports to update the local business on website performance.
- Monitoring of digital, competitive, and sectoral trend.
- Continuously optimize the user experience and site performance.
Project Management:
- Take ownership and lead the implementation of web-related projects, coordinating and briefing development needs with Group Marketing.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time and to the expected quality.
Collaboration and Coordination:
- Work closely with the local teams and Group Marketing to align the website's functionality and customer experience with the organization's goals and branding.
- Support the wider business with their website needs.
Requirements of the Website Specialist:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science, Web Development, Digital Marketing, or related field.
- Proven experience in web management
- Strong knowledge of HTML and CSS
- Experience with CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress, Drupal, Typo 3, Magnolia) and SEO tools.
- Familiarity with web design principles and tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite).
- Understanding of web analytics and experience with analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Proactive energy with a can do attitude.
