Customer Service (Former Employee) – Sligo – 13 February 2019
Horrible place to work, training is extreamly bad given by poorly trained staff. New employees are thrown in the deep end and looked at like fools when a customer calls and we dont know the answer to give them. Pay is horrendous minimum pay for being pushed to your limit on a daily basis. Definitely would not recommend. The number of people that left in the short period I was there was shocking only upside was the friends I made there.

While minimum wage jobs typically leave much to be desired, abtran manages to make to worst of the worst seem utopian. For the level of work and responsibility placed upon workers, people here are grossly underpaid and mistreated. Abtran has little respect for its workers, offering no extra pay for overtime. training is insufficient, so workers are eventually thrown into the deep end with little support. Team leaders are swapped between departments, resulting in useless supervisors-for example kelly in irish water. Overall, the company does not care about its workers as they take it for granted that large swarms of people are constantly leaving and joining the company. It's better to hold on in the job search for a little longer, than to desperately and moreover gullibly take any offer from abtran.
better than dole
salary, management, support, environment, work appreciation
Horrible enviroment. Management didnt know what they were doing. Only upside of this place was finding a few individuals there that shared the same hatred of it to talk to and get you through the day. Happy I left.
Customer service agent (Former Employee) – Dublin – 24 January 2019
My typical day at work involves long hours sitting at my desk, making outbound calls to various departments in order to resolve issues for customers. i write emails to various departments and customers. the hardest part of the job is having to depend on other departments in order to complete cases.
customer Service Agent (Current Employee) – Cork – 4 September 2018
great people to work alongside. poor pay, 7 minute toilet breaks per day which are timed, poor management and very hard to book or get time off. management should care more about employees as this would benefit them as a company tenfold in the long run.
poor pay, poor management, 7 minute toilet breaks per day, no sick pay, very hard to book time off
Fun place to work and amazing expierence with dealing with people
Telesales agent (Former Employee) – Cork – 26 March 2018
Got some amazing friends from working here and also amazong expierence dealing with people. Commission base structure along side a hourly wage leaves for some healthy competition for more money and to top the leaderboards
