Too many hours of work

Indeed featured review

The most useful review selected by Indeed
The schedule is not ideal, I have no weekends off and the quantity of hours is not ideal 9 to 6 which means 9 hours that you have to be engaged in the company.

Pros

Free food

Cons

Long hours / never weekend off

Bonne entreprise pour apprendre

Des bonnes explications au début. Plusieurs opportunités pour avancer, il faut faire attention à son façon de s'habiller.

Content moderation

Don't do it.No amount of money is worth what you have to look at while doing content moderation...Regardless of which social media company you end up moderation for you'll only ever be a contractor with no job security

good company to start your career

Good for start, but it is stressful, salary is basic and not too many benefits, nice people in the team and there are some opportunities to grow if you survive...

Good and bad parts about working for Accenture as a contractor

The good - Accenture clients and their benefits.Accenture provides workers to different companies - their clients including top IT companies on the market. This companies can provide some of the benefits that they provide to their employees including: food, office ergonomics, several corporate parties per year, decent office environment. The bad - everything else.Accenture provides low pay workers to different companies - their clients. Many of those workers at first are not even hired by Accenture but by 3rd party contractors. Overall those workers don't get any benefits working for Accenture and get just a fraction of the benefits working for Accenture clients. No health insurance.Low pay.No leave pay if you are not Accenture employee - company was shutting down some of its markets across the europe and firing employees associated with those markets and non Accenture employees got no compensation. Hard to be hired directly by Accenture, most of the employees don't stay there for very long and only few of them are lucky enough to be hired by Accenture - most of the employees get refused after working for a year hired by 3rd party contractors.Very slow feedback to the Accenture client, if there are not enough of people working in the team on a certain task and most of the deadlines are not met, people working under pressure and over time it might take many months or over a half of year to have some progress on the issue. Not much trust to its low pay workers, most of the job can be done remotely but workers were clearly told due to security issues it cannot be done. -

Pros

Free coffee, free snacks, ergonomics.

Terrible place to work

Haven't been with the company long but this is the worst place I have ever worked. I work in corporate functions but the culture/atmosphere of the working environment is terrible. Senior management don't train new starters well and expect you to know how to perform tasks without proper instruction/guidance. You nearly feel afraid to reach out for help/advice on problems you may encounter at times. You receive no thanks for extra hours worked and this is just expected of you..Or so I've been told by the hierarchy (Have worked Sunday hours in the past). There is a snobbery about the Senior management that is hard to describe but isn't pleasant to be around. DO NOT WORK HERE! awful company...

Pros

Work from home

Cons

Terrible atmosphere

Good experience, terrible pay

The experience is good and company highly recognized. The salary is ridiculously for what the job is. Wouldn’t stay more than a year. You really need to be hitting your KPIs consistently in order to make something decent.

Good company

A big company with different projects and level of management.Networking culture for career progression.Fast-paced environment.Salaries sometimes might not be competitive with the market.

Underpaid and overworked but multicultural

On the projects I worked on the salary was not competitive compared to the tasks and work pressure at the job. Communication between management and employees was not honest, people got promoted for jobs because they knew the hiring manager, policies for promotions were constantly changing and my manager even tried to deny me 3 hours off when I wanted to go for a job interview (I even made it back after 2 hours).

Pros

Free breakfast, multicultural teams

Cons

Little recognition, salary too low, weak management

Fun LoL

Working here it's not fun at all (I was being sarcastic in the title). What to tell, let's see:For management you are ONLY a NUMBER, you are NOT a person;if you have a problem, oh well, it's your problem and NOBODY cares, literally;if you are sick, they, again, don't care, they don't ask you what is wrong, you might have something serious, the important thing is that you go back to work ASAP;they will tell you that you are important to them (come on, let's be real), but you will see at the end of the day that it was a lie;the time spent in there is not worth the pay.Briefly:management is terrible, pay is terrible, shift don't even let me start with that, work is terrible, everything is terrible, no chance to grow in the company because you won't have time to check new opportunities.

Pros

free lunch when working in the office, internet bills WFH

Cons

shift, pay, management, etc.

Work for Accenture if you want to learn and grow

Very highly talented teams, very good work culture. After 25 years in tech, I think Accenture is one of the few organisations that are really doing interesting stuff.

Pros

The people

Cons

Nothing in my experience

Cons

Only if you have no other option

There isn't much to say.....If you like having to suck up to your "Manager" everyday, in order to keep your job (not progress, just keep the same position), this is the company for you!If you like having a poor experience with one of the absolute worst systems there is, this is the job for you!If you like having no career progression, no understanding of what you're actually doing, no help from the Manager who doesn't even know how they got their position, and outdated workflows that can't even really be called "workflows" (because there are very little of them and absolutely ALL of them are outdated), and you're told to follow them, but as soon as you do, the QA and the Manager tell you "Don't follow that workflow, do this instead!" (and you had no idea because no one told you, plus, only SOME people know the correct workflow, and aren't open to share it, Then this is EXACTLY the role for you!PS : Did I mention no career progression? People have been working their buts off and after 2 years all they get is a tap in the shoulder and a candle shipped to their home, saying "thank you".

Pros

Absolutely none, not even a competitive salary

Cons

Long exhausting hours, no knowledge, terrible system, terrible management

Excellent team and management

Great team and management to work with. Management encourages individuals to learn new tools and technologies.Encourages to contribute for the team growth and gives ears to individuals inputs.

Deceiving and against meritocracy

I have been working with Accenture for two years now and, behind the advertisement of a progressive, inclusive and innovating workplace, you will find that meritocracy is not even considered. The amount of work and responsibilities compared to the salary is almost offensive and the chances of career growth and promotions are lower than the chances of having your project closed from one day to the other. I am currently on Indeed to run away from this place

Pros

Free food, chance to learn remarkable skills

Cons

Non-meritocratic, minimum possible wages, no progression

Good Company, bad management

The company it is good to work, it offers to you a base salary, no strong pressure, but when you need something from managers or even high leves, the situation get worse.

Pros

No pressure

Cons

Bad shifts and managers

Better payment

Is unfair that teams that speaks other languages such as German, Dutch, Arabic etc.. earn more money than other teams. Their job is less because they dont work 24 hours or weekends, while the people that earns less work more including 24 hours and all weekends!! We should all earn the same or more specially working for a company such as Accenture that makes millions a year.

Pros

flexibility, wellness

Cons

The income for employees should be at level with Accenture's prestige

Bad Management and no employees rights

In almost 15 years of experience in big companies, Accenture is absolutely the worst company ever to work for. Management is corrupted, not transparent at all but mostly not professional at all. Lack of ethic and lack of respect towards emplyees is unbelievable. Progressing within the company is a dream they let you believe at the beginning, before discovering that the contract will not even be with Accenture directly and that the salary will be one of the lowest on Dublin market. Team leaders are not leaders at all, they have no qualified experience, no language neither communication skills, no empathy and they do not look after the morale of the team at all. When the company decides to terminate a contract (firing or let it expire) they do not give any notice, they do not schedule 1 to 1 to prepare the employee, they do not provide explanation or feedback. They only ask HR to send the employee a cold e-mail, out of the blue, with zero explanation, confused instructions and a poor excuse. After that, the employee is practically forced to disappear in silence...

Pros

Buying time for a better role and company

Cons

Worst management ever
