Small team in head office over 12 stores, generally top management are friendly, communication could be better but overall treat their staff with respect and leave them to do their job as assigned. Working in store, can be difficult, as progression can be limited, fellow team members can be bitter and jealous of any progress made. The job can be physically hard on you depending on what departments on the shop floor you have been given and if the stores storage area is on floor level or up a stairs. Some team members will offer assistance, however dispensary staff often get out of helping with such tasks even though it is expected of shop floor members to take in their orders. Definitely a hierarchy which divides a store rather than bringing them together. More of a catty atmosphere than management would care to admit. However some of your fellow team members are terrific, genuinely care about their customers. The OTC training provided is excellent, and asking the appropriate questions are constantly pushed onto team members to provide the best service for customers. Having visited other pharmacies, this level of knowledge is not always provided. The owner of the company is a gentleman, always says hello and takes time for the customers.
Review of stock levels. Replenish of stock. Application of make - ups. Stacking shelves. Serving on OTC aswell as the cosmetic counters. I have learnt to multitask on the OTC, Christian Dior and Clarins counters.
Hated the early lunchbreaks
