Produce Picker/ Pallet Truck Oprative (Former Employee) - Naas, County Kildare - 8 August 2019
Indeed featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedIt was a a hardworking environment which i prefer myself because it allows for many skills to be gained and developed. the management is to a very high standard. They welcome many different cultures to to the business, which makes it a comfortable atmosphere for most who enjoy hard work.

Good team and no stress
Warehouse Voice Picker (Current Employee) - Mitchelstown, County Cork - 26 October 2019
Perfectly organised so shifts aren't too physically intense.
Laidback management but functional makes it a no stress working position. Only drawback is low career options.

Treat the pickers like robbots
Picker (Current Employee) - Naas, County Kildare - 31 May 2019
Very hard job and ignorant management. Keep away from this place. They change the rules everyday if you don’t hit your picker rate you get sacked. 😞😞😞

Productive workplace
Voice Picker (Former Employee) - Naas, County Kildare - 12 July 2016
Typical day consists of 6-8 hour shifts. I have learned manual handling, using a voice activated headset and taking stock counts. There was good communication between management and staff. Co workers where friendly and helpfull which created an enjoyable atmosphere. The hardest part of the job was meeting your weekly targets. The most enjoyable part of the job was good hours, good pay and friendly staff.

Very busy work place in a cold room for tough guys
WAREHOUSE VOICE PICKER (Current Employee) - Naas, KE - 3 February 2015
My typical day is starting at 5am or 7am. Once you are there, you go and take your pallet truck. We have to sign into the book. Then we log in into the voice talkman and starting picking boxes. It's cold there between -2 to +1 degrees but once you have to pick 265 boxes per hour, that's a pick rate over there, you don't feel it. You don't have time for it. After 2.5 hrs we have break for 30 min. It's paid and after break we pick whatever left to be done and then we do cleanings. Typical day of work is up to 6 hours most of the time. Which is around 30 hrs a week. It's hard job, but i like it as every job i am doing, i am trying to do with 100%.
Pros
paid 30 min break, extra sunday pay, higher basic pay
Cons
short hours, heavy boxes, cold place to work

Productive and fun workplace
order picking (Former Employee) - naas - 7 April 2014
Aldi was a nice but hard job. Employees had to keep a 310 pick rate per hour and could not drop bellow or the employee would get a warning. I learned to use voice activated picking systems and also learned to work very hard. My management were very friendly but strict and were always willing to help. The hardest part of the job was working in a freezer and also learning to drive the power pallet trucks but everyone gets use to that after a while. The most enjoyable part of the job was meeting new people and the work itself i loved every minute of it.

Exhausting and physically demanding
Order picker (Former Employee) - Naas, KE - 20 September 2013
Working here was strenuous and not very fun and had little to no job security. It impacted heavily on my sleeping pattern and on my social life as there was no set roster for a working week
