Applegreen Employee Review
Good place to work
I have worked indirectly for applegreen delivering petrol/diesel all over Ireland for the past 11/12 yrs i have been with them through good times and bad but the job got done I have been there with new trainees and have always tried to show them the way to get the job done safely and properly. Delivering to forecourt is a very different job than delivering to depots because of the amount of public around they don't understand the danger of delivering petroleum products so you have to be very aware of the public at all times

Similar reviews
Minimum wage not justified for the constant tasks and responsibility for dangerous flammable liquids. Lack of perks such as tea/coffee creates a cold working environment. Regional and senior management look down on shop assistants. Simply but, treat your employees as you would like to be treated yourself and would go a long way in negating the negative reviews featured here and the high staff turnover

Cons
Pay, bad work to life ratio, poor Company management
Absolutely terrible to work for, no respect for staff, no help when you ask for it, can't even have a free cup of coffee or tea. They never thank you, expected us to work during Covid and ignored our concerns. On the food side its absolutely dreadful blaming food managers for everything wrong. The salary is 25k a year for a food manager with full time staff making very close to what a manager makes
