Whether you find yourself in manufacturing, research, or commercial, here in Ireland, you can find yourself amongst some of the best who will support you to develop in every way.
The evolution of BD in Ireland is a story of strong leadership and continuous innovation. Since BD started production on Donore Road in 1964, thousands of local people have been employed and billions of syringes and medical devices have been produced. With three manufacturing sites in Drogheda, Dun Laoghaire and Enniscorthy, we employ more than 500 people in highly skilled positions. The acquisition of GenCell Biosystems Ltd in Limerick and the creation of our R&D center of excellence propelled us into the R&D space too. And, since our Bard acquisition, the opportunities in Ireland have only grown, with a brand-new area joining our remit and putting Enniscorthy on our map for our people to explore.
Our culture embodies who we are, what we stand for and why we exist, and reflects the behaviors we’re all expected to demonstrate every day, no matter what we do or where we sit. As a purpose driven organization, we all strive to live and work in The BD Way.
