Associate Scientist Cell Culture (Current Employee) –  Rinn an Scidígh, County Cork22 March 2018
Good atmosphere for those where work is everything or if want to keep busy. Very little time to even think.

Good workers can be exploited with management continuously adding work. Mostly good "talkers" get ahead.
Extreme workloads can go unnoticed, however when it is noticed benefits are supplied.
Pros
Benefits can be good, if do extremely well, flexible hours
Cons
Workloads are high

very poor culture, Company does not respect staff and uses them for short term contracts for their gain. Hard work is not recognised but who can talk the most about the little they have done

Biotechnician (Current Employee) –  cork27 March 2017
There is a strong push to meet deadlines and metrics. This is a metric driven company, so if you have any improvements you want to make, they will have to be done outside of work hours. Work/life balance is very poor
Pros
friendly staff
Cons
additional hours are expected

Great place to work. A lot of really great people working there.
Too many people on outside temporary contracts which creates a two tier workforce.
Pros
Feeling of empowerment
Cons
Temporary employees feel like 2nd class employees.

QA Doc Control Specialist (Current Employee) –  Cork City, County Cork19 November 2015
BioMarin is a great place to work. Every day is fast paced, challenging and extremely rewarding. Co-workers are intelligent, helpful and determined to do things right the first time. Management is firm on an open door policy, communication and collaboration are essential. There is room for advancement and plenty of opportunity to learn and develop yourself both, personally and professionally.
