Be prepared to handle common sense questions for a site that is heavily dependent on subscribers in senior positions at financial institutions. The first question on the written test will ask who the current chair of the Federal Reserve is. If you don't know that, things go no further. Otherwise realize you will be talking with a senior management team that comes from a wide variety of journalistic venues, so be ready to speak as an "insider."
The interview process is challenging. Most applicants do not get through it. After an initial five-hour editing test, applicants can expect to meet with senior management in London for three or more days. If all goes well, an employment offer should be made afterward.
