The company is a joke no managment skills, no help getting on to sites and when they did you got put with a bunch of idiots wanting someone to do all the dirty work the people who were meant to help didn’t at all probably why they went bust
My experience at Carillion was without doubt the most stressful and uncomfortable employment I have ever experienced and in my opinion is a negative environment to be in.
Low pay, little or no support from management.
Very productive and fun working for Carillion they provides trainings, lunches, PPE, and all the welfare facilities

Not a good company to work for, team leader absolutely no backbone....just sat there. Floor manager no good rolling down the office. If you went to the toilet it was timed...Horrible place to work....if it wasn't for 2 colleagues I would of walked. Company went bust losing thousands of jobs....CEO stole money from company and then hid
Floor manager/team leader as much use as a chocolate fire guard
A typical day working at Carillion consisted on obtaining client documents allowing them to continue on with their business polices insurances etc. This job role taught me how to be patient with clients, having to chase clients who may not have the right documents on numerous occasions. Or some clients not wishing to send over documents for legal or financial matters. Management apart of our department was amazing teaching me great communication skills and people handling skills. This job role taught me the importance of rules and regulations, that are needed to be abided to do a job successfully. The most enjoyable part of this job was that It was my first occupation and thankfully I gained a great amount of knowledge and confidence moving forward for my future.
Working at carillion is a good place to learn from start they let you have a go at the bricklaying but you also get good experience from site which carillion centre does not tell you everything you need to know but site will make you learn everything the ins and outs
I miss Carillion. Great working environment, great staff and all rules and reg's adhered to. Lots of work to complete. Always had backing and support from management Then the bubble burst!..company went into receivership and all of us made unemployed
Not a nice place to work but I enjoyed it as I worked within a great team! Shame the management didn't care more about their staff. Always felt that nobody really knew what they were doing and that there was a blame culture rife within the organisation.
Badly managed and disorganised company.
I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone. Too many chiefs and not enough indians. You don't know who the bosses are always looking over your shoulder. If you do anything wrong the Management are straight into the Supervisors office to report you and your Supervisor has to call you in. It might be waiting for a meal to come out of the kitchen but because your stood waiting for this meal to get warmed up it's your fault. No No.
I loved my time working for carillion, at st Peter's high school . I trained in NVQ 2 kitchen services in my placement . It was a fast paced environment in a great school
Working for Carillion was the highlight of my carear, I cude not ask for a better bunch of colleges. I was a bata inputer and time sheet anelist. Also inducted new staff and orderd IT equipment and soft ware so that they cude start work on the day of arrivel. I help colleges with IT problems. And run the office when the office manager was out of the office. Booked meeting rooms and refreshments. Processing
