It can be a great place to work under the right manager which it is for me. Pay is very poor. Commission is okay in a busy store which are in the cities. However outside in the country its not good. Overall its an enjoyable place to work but people leave due to other companies can offer better money.
I absolutely loved working in Carpetright Sligo as we were like a family there. We always did our day to day duties but always had the best of fun. Manager & Aerial Manager very nice to deal with and were always there to help when needed. The wages are very reasonable especially Commission. Only reason im leaving is because our store is closing but ill be there until the end
Expect people to work extra hours with no pay, pay less than minimum wage to work sundays. Injured my back while lone worker working 60 hours per week and had contract ended before doctor passed fit to return to work. Will close all Irish stores as soon as they can
Backwards working environment full of fake promises. Badly run from top to bottom total lack of customer care . Expected to work all bank holidays and to be happy with midweek days off and terrible money. Expected to work Sunday at a flat rate which is also st the law but they don't care
Staff treat like Draconian period. You were left to supervise a store with no support, help, and it support. Never work for such a company again. You were basically sent from one side of country to the other- this was without notice. I have had very unpleasant experiences, especiallly if you are a new member or employee. Thus found bullying was existent by other managers in company
