Not a fun place to work

The management in this company is atrocious they simply don't care about the needs of there employees and turn you into just a number not a worker disgraceful company to work for I would not recommend this company to anyone

Hard work

Pressure put on to work fast and get your numbers up but no incentives for employees, alot of overtime when we were there. Pay too low. Sometimes OT would be until 2 am

Stressful and overworked

When you come in to work u are expected to hit targets that are way to high cause they don't count any faults with machines that could occur and then proceed to blame you for not hitting your targets.

Stressful, thankless, disfunctional

A truly awful workplace. Clueless management that constantly harrass employees for 'performance targets' that the constant machine breakdowns usually make impossible. Anti social hours on the evening shift mean this defacto minimum wage job takes over your life ( no pay incentive of course). No training on industrial machines. Avoid unless you desperately need money and have tried EVERY other option. Also recruitment lied to me about multiple things including the HOURS YOU WORK , shameless. Foreign workers keep the evening shift going.

Only work here if you're desperate

Machines constantly have issues, could be waiting up to 30mins for maintenance to arrive.Management are difficult to find when needed but never fail to show up when you don't want them toConstantly complaining about numbers and rarely train new staff

Pros

No shortage of overtime

Cons

Working Conditions, management, machines never work

Avoid at all costs

Worst place I have ever worked, management are bullies and the overall setup is ridiculous. Constantly breathing down your neck about targets when it's not realistic. Avoid the place at all costs if you want any sort of a personal life

Threatening, Toxic Place To Work

It’s difficult to put in words how awful this place is to work in. You’re expected to work on industrial machinery with zero training whilst being shouted at an threatened by team leaders. Constantly threatened with “you’ll be in the office” Machines are constantly breaking down. You’re expected to make unrealistic targets and work extra hours without notice for minimum wage. (If they could pay you less they would) Managers genuinely have no idea what they’re doing. There is zero quality control as they’re very quantity focused. I’ve never worked in an environment where it’s acceptable for a team leader/supervisor to shout/swear/threaten your job at you. It’s bizarre. The only plus side is coworkers, great bunch of people. But, understandably the staff turnover is massive.

A joke of a job

Management is a joke can’t tell their left from right, 6 months of emergency over time (10 hours a day) 2 week break and emergency over time again. Co workers are the best stick together have each other’s backs. People physically dropping from being over worked. Impossible to get holidays booked off, unrealistic targets as the machines constantly break. Don’t train in new employees (left to general operators to train but should be done by the team leaders) seen more people leave than be hired. The shift leaders like to stand behind you and intimidate you while you work to try to get you to move faster. Moved from machine to machine so often it’s hard to get the targets as you don’t get enough time on one machine to learn. If anyone says we will look into your problem just know they won’t. I highly recommend that if you are looking for a job do not work here just stay doing what you’re doing.

Pros

Amazing co workers

Cons

Long hours. Over worked. Unrealistic expectations. Poor/no training.

Very productive environment but very stressful.

The production of this company is amazing and what they do for hospitals and hotels. Hospitals especially. I myself as a general operative take my job very seriously as I work in the hospital sector. I like to make sure everything is perfect for the hospitals as they keep this country alive and the people in it living.

Pros

Every once in a while we get free breakfast.

Cons

Overtime is ridiculous working 10 hour shifts is scandalous, Especially when we don’t have the work to get us through the 10 hours, As we barely have enough work doing our standard hours.

Hard

Too much pressure for quantity and not quality.Management too strict on useless stuff.Too many cliques in the workplace.Employees not very friendly, everyone focused on achieving unrealistic numbers.

Pros

You learn new skills

Cons

Long, physical hours and not enough break

Terrible work environment

No training was providedManagement takes no accountability preferring to blame subordinates leading to high staff turnover which exacerbated the training and production problems, it's a vicious cycle.Corners are constantly cut in favour of ill thought out production targets

Pros

Consistent schedule

Cons

Bullying atmosphere, managerial incompetence

Bad place to work with management who dont care about anyone but themselves

Enjoyed working with the other staff at celtic linen most of them are sound and friendly . However the team leaders and supervisors and managment are a joke and need to learn to show some respect to the people on the floor .. i wouldnt work there again for double the money

Pros

Friendly people on the floor

Cons

Bad management . The place is a unhygenic place to work

Nice friendly co workers unfriendly management

Nice floor staff but bossy bosses. The work is ok but the same thing over again and numbers to be done is not possible with the machines always breaking down when targets are not met you have to stay late sometimes and get nothing for it. The work culture with other factory workers is good but there is a bully culture with management and they don't treat you well.

Pros

Floor staff

Cons

Hard work long hours

Monotonous work, on your feet all day, minimum wage

During the COVID 19 pandemic the factory made necessary cuts to the workforce, I was one of them. But, overall I have had worse jobs, which I keep telling myself each morning when I go into work.

Pros

Friendly co workers, Excellent social club (when there 6 months or more) In house canteen with deli counter.

Cons

Minimum wage, work every bank holiday (unless its your rostered day off) Fortnightly pay, Monotonous work, on your feet the entire working day, limited toilet breaks, no communication with management, and numerous other Cons to mention

Horrible

Horrible place to work. Only one decent supervisor out there. Bad money. Let people go within weeks of hiring them and then hire another group of people

No challenges and development opportunities.

I learn to work under pressure and cooperate with the staff. Not bad management. Flexible working hours are an advantage but nights shifts are not. Low salary. Very hard physical conditions.

Hated it

I didn't like this job at all. They treated their staff unfairly. I wouldn't recommend anyone to go for this job. I suffered from whiplash on the premises and they layed me off as I was out even when I had a doctor cert

Pros

When the day was over

Cons

Not a great workplace
