I worked in also every department in Pcworld and Curys i learned so much about the business, and I loved the staff who I worked it we had the best team... we all look out for each other we are like 1 big family.

Value business over employee wellbeing

Depends on individual store but my management team was fairly relaxed; typically lots of students so fun and jovial within coworkers.Pay was fair but extreme pressure to sell insurance/ performance products at any cost. We weren't given adequate training on actual info behind products but we had to push insurance to wits end. The way we were treated heavily depended on our sales performance. When complaints and issues arise, the management's first priority is the image and performance of the business and lastly is the employee. Employee care and wellbeing is non-existent.

A good company to work for good perks including staff discount on items in-store. Flexible for part time staff with morning and afternoon shift times.

Very pressured

Pressured role due to KPIs and sales targets. Management on your back very often. The higher ups only care about the insurances brought in, not about the quality of the customer's experiencem as much as they claim to. Staff are friendly, but management can be overbearing at times.

Was a great place to work

Unfortunately last year we were made redundant, it was an amazing place to work senior management were brilliant and took all comments on board. The team I worked with were more than just colleagues but like family. Just unfortunate that the business went under.

Great place to work.

Really positive atmosphere where we are valued as staff and treated as equals and with respect by all the managers. Really fair company to work for. Love it and a brilliant work life balance as well.

Worst company

No words to say this but there a pack of bullies and expect you to lie to the regional manager of how they treat you. So they do what they can to keep you down send mouth shut. Would not suggest you work for this company there disgusting Is all ill say. Oh yeah they also bully people they know are weak to get rid of them they don't care about you and say we don't push insurance or cloud and really the answer is yes they do it's not true at all people get scammed everyday from them shop else werePros

Regular hours 40 per week some over weekends , ok pay rates, commissions and targeted bonuses clean shop friendly co workers free on site parking and paid sick leave

crazy busy not alot of time to eat lunch, pay good but they change the goal posts constantly..you have a lot to learn and you could be asked a broad range of questions

All depends on local management

Worked in a store with excellent management who would happily accommodate roster requests for students and short notice holidays but I know this depends on the store itself and is no echoed across the company.

Fun and exciting place to work

Management can feel like they know nothing at times which is very tough when trying to figure things out and help customers but overall great salary and fun place to work , staff are all friendly and helpful towards new staff that are learning a lot

Customer consultant/assistant manager

Worked my way up the ladder and god assistant managers position management team were amazing and supportive and my team mates were most amazing people only reason I don’t work here anymore because Carphone warehouse god closed unfortunately me and my team grew so close together that we still all talk on daily basis and go out for a drink and food together, Bonus scheme can be high if u try your best and sell

Good opportunities

Not sure about other reviews but not many employers offering national living wage bonus and training. Worked here for a year now and all good. People are friendly and have always found th managers to be fair.

Sales in mda

It’s a great place to work with the correct management in place (hostile management create a hostile environment, I’ve seen both sides ) however targets and insurance sales make it a quite challenging job most of the time. IE… sse airtricity and promoting sky. It makes the job harder than it needs to be

Don't do it, it'll suck your soul.

It is simply put not a good place to work. You are paid poorly and yet expected to sell like a car salesman when you don't even get commission. From selling insurance, to credit checks via finance, lifting washing machines when you're not covered if someone goes wrong, hours are good and most of the managers are dead on, but still not enough...

Best company I’ve ever worked for.

The best company I’ve ever worked for. Only for there was only so many hours they could offer me (pandemic) I would still be working there. I thoroughly enjoyed working there with great staff members and great management. Loved it. Would 100% recommend working here.

Stressful with no support

Working in this company is stressful as there is no support from management on the floor. Training does not suffice either so extra support is needed. Very little opportunity to progress. Not a great work life balance and difficult to get time off when needed. Management change rotas on short notice and don't say anything.

You have to be favourite to get hours in this job. Management isn’t great will stick together! Had a few issues and had no one to turn to. Have to have thick skin working here
