I loved my time with DHL before being let go for being over staffed. The lads I worked with were good people and fair workers. the job was managable being Mon-Fri, 7-3. The management was questionable but other than that I can't really complain. The facilities we're standard but decent. Would recommend.
Turn up and do what your suppose to do every day and you will have no problems . Plenty of training and extra work if you want it but also left alone if you dont want it which is also good . Good job security and friendly management and staff . Good equipment to work with and fixed immediately if it's defective .
Delivery driver (Former Employee) - Dublin West, County Dublin - 12 February 2020
It once was a good job, unfortunately it
now wastes more time on making you “train” form filling. I found the this culture problematic as you are constantly filling forms to take responsibility for new work practises that are added to your duties consistently and in my opinion have no benefit to the driver of any kind. the practises were muted as a litigation deflecting exercise. With that said it can be a good job for experience and it’s and an eye opener to See how an international companies work practises and culture work.
horrible place of work, they expect you to be a slave during very bad working hours and give you shift to make your life miserable. they give you poor basic pay and the rest of money is made up of night shift allowance or split shift allowance but you need to be a slave.
Challenging place to work as we needed to have all the materials in place to meet build plans and make sure the inventory in 100% at all times - good place to work and got on great with all the managers
Really enjoyed the work team exceptional learned a lot working at Dhl manifests , filing excel , disturbuting ice cream fridges to all parts of Ireland managing day to day delivery’s and paper work this job has thought me a lot .
WAREHOUSE WORK (Former Employee) - South Dublin, County Dublin - 12 October 2018
Work day starts in 8 and it ends in 4. I've learned how to ship orders on a computer program (I forgot a name). Surrounded by good people, very good atmosphere. No pressing, a job isn't so difficult so there is no hardest part of a job. Nice place to work
I worked with them over a long period of time, depending on your position there is no training provided for example with Microsoft office tools etc. If you want any training you need to pay for it yourself. If it has safety implications all training is provided for example with fork lift training ect.
