People that you work with a great, management don't care pay is bad, long hours especially during Christmas you have to work early till very late. Time restrictions make you drive quick and isn't safe your always driving quick to get to the next drop and hope your not caught for speeding
Pros
other drivers are sound
Cons
time restrictions on drops are unrealistic

Dpd Ireland is unfortunately the single worst company I have worked for in my 25 year career. The organisation is in chaos the majority of the time due to inept planning and severe communication deficits between departments. Management are sequestered and are largely unaware of the day to day issues affecting staff, customers and the business. There is little to no care for the customer or their experience with the company. Avoid at all costs, either in Head Office or as a driver.
Pros
Good bonus at Christmas
Cons
Chaotic organisation, insufficient communication, exceptionally high volumes of queries with not enough staff to deal with them efficiently, Crunch Culture, low pay, minimal benefits, the company doesn't recognise unions for communication workers, HR have improper methods which ensure a culture of blamelessness for higher management

As in most courier companies, the one doing the heavy work are the least paid and are not respected. These companies spend millions on sponsorship but nothing to help staff.

Avoid at all costs. Owner in Depot 9 is a bully. Modern day slavery. Pays a stop rate and expects 200 done a day. Only a 30 minute time limit to deliver. And God help the consequences when you go over. Not worth the exhaustiin, stress and pressure

Vehicles barely fit for the road, ongoing issues constantly. Any issues raised with the owner are ignored. No help provided, 1 man expected to deliver 2 days worth of parcels everyday. Work Saturdays but you're not payed for them, set wage Monday to Friday. 14 hour days nó lunch break.

Ok to work for long days and strict time frames hard to get a break with times kicking in. Large areas to cover and not much help but not a bad job to be in would need to be physically fit

Dont work for these because they will use and abuse you. They will drain every bit of happiness out of you and keep pushing for you to do more and more and more work.

I enjoyed working with DPD it was very fast paced and prompt. It was very important to get your route planned well before starting as this would determine what your day was like. There is always somebody ready to help you if you are in need so good team work.

Fast paced environment , never boring. Wages could be a lot better for the amount of work to be done. More support needed. More opportunities for progression needed.

Pay was so low for warehouse staff at minimum wage for 11pm to 730am but often till 8 with no extra pay. Terrible immature management who have no idea what they are doing take no imput from staff. No over time once worked 44hrs for €360. Really stressfull company who pay so little and saftey training is none excisting. All that fault of management fell back on wearhouse staff

Stay away....Nothing but pressure and stress. 13 hour days. Not enough help in the morning loading the van. 100 drops per day which could be over one hundred and fifty parcels then you fill the van again and empty it yourself when you return. STAY AWAY.
Pros
None.
Cons
No lunch break. No toilet break.

If uou want to get experience driving I would highly recommend DPD as this is the bottom job to geg and by having this on your CV other company's will look at this as a real test. Unrealistic deadlines, only 1 hour to deliver each job but you have 25 jobs per hour, ridiculous. Delivering early is just as bad as late, you can't deliver to a bsuiness early, on your scanners time, what business doesnt want their goods early, understandable for domestic items which are 25% of your deliveries. Your time for delivering is limited as you have collections that could be the other side of where your delivery area is, mind boggling.
Pros
Chance to gain experience
Cons
Long hours, low pay (below minimum wage when calculate the hours) zero communication, high expectation, very little training provided

Stay away, they want you to work your 8 hour shift then on a saturday morning expect you to go out to do deliveries for a few hours. Also when i left they never paid for the days i worked the previous week dispite asking numberous of times via email, phone and calling into speak to them, also never gave me aby holiday hours i was due. The drivers want you to put packages in order of there route, drivers can get fierce upset and shouting and roaring would start if its not done correctly.
