The supervisors and managers were all lovely and extremely accommodating as most of the staff are students and working part-time but management have been very strict and picky recently and expecting us to do a lot of things in the 30-45 minutes we spend in the room which is which is near impossible.

Extremely understaffed and usually have about 13 rooms a day but because of covid, it was brought down to 8-10 rooms per person (all departures) and even then it was very hard to finish in time. Checkout is at 12 and check in is at 4 which is ridiculous and front desk would be calling constantly to ask us when the rooms would be ready.

Had a lot of people before and that was hard too because there wouldn’t be enough trolleys for everyone and had to share with others or use a small trolley. Always running out of things too like water or shampoo and were told to put in two bath gels instead to make it look like an accident.

It was very tiring and the pay isn’t enough for all the work we’re were doing. No Sunday premium either even though that’s the worst day
Pros
Free lunch (not now because of COVID), great teamwork, access to the gym for free
Cons
Exhausting, very hectic, can injure back or hands a lot

Druids Glen's Garden Room & Bar team is by far the best team i have ever been a part of, full of friendly and funny individuals, but when all put together as part of a team every individual becomes a unit and it is amazing to be apart of and for guests to see.

Up until recently, Druids Glen was a great place to work with a really good rapport between staff and management. Since the new owners took over, the treatment of staff has gone seriously downhill. It is an enjoyable place to work as everyone gets on well and there are good benefits but with the long hours and busy days, it can be draining. The days do go quickly as you are constantly moving.

Sad to see the current state of the management culture in the hotel. Where once the staff were considered it's most valuable asset, now they're considered disposable. High turnover leaves experienced staff working twice as hard, for fewer tips given all the mistakes they need to fix. Over abundance of managers with basic hotel management degrees and little in the way of experience.
Pros
People - always wonderful
Cons
hours, pay, management

Really nice place to work. Friendly managers and colleagues. There are many benefits to working here for example, free access to the health and leisure facilities and the golf course.
