This company is all about appearance.
If you really want to grow and become a better professional, Ericsson is not the place.

The process to be hired is so selected that make you feel "must be a great company", unfortunately not. Choose another place to work.

If you just want a salary at the end of the month is here, but don't expect learn or grow here. And about the salary "You are doing a great job, You are Incredible, OMG your capabilities....but unfortunately there is a table and you are not in the selected to get a raise"

Also you are strong pressure to doubt about yourself, not directly but in a very strange way hard to explain.

There is great people (ofc that are people that are also looking for new opportunities outside Ericsson) and there is people that can seem great but be aware....

If you want a healthy environment and grow in your career, I strongly advice you to look for other place before you get hired and after become to late and hard to be hired for other company.

The work environment is pathetic no value for juniors. Also the management is highly questionable and rigged. No sense of judgement to make sure the employees are well adjusted to their work.

Very, very weak management. Great engineers but terrible managers. Completely different skill set, and most managers there are out of their depth. Badly in need of management training.

Not all lower management fault though, as the regional strategy and directives coming from up on high were a joke. Completely disconnected from reality.

Dangerous place to work in too, as I saw a lot of highly "questionable" attitudes taken towards certain employees. On paper they profess themselves to be impeccable.

Culture is one of intimidation. Saw many colleagues "heavily encouraged" to travel to dangerous locations to keep utilisation high. Very much "the boy's club" mentality. Was always amused at the exact same dress sense all the managers had.

Unclear deliverables, poor pay and very high workload. Highly competitive environment with little or no collaboration.

Not personally recommended as life is too short. Some people may like that environment though. Each to his/her own.
Pros
Travel to atypical locations. Get free immunization jabs and malaria pills.
Cons
No direction, training, clear deliverables. Management structure is non existent.

Really great people, but as an intern there really was not enough work going through the team for me to ever feel involved. Sprints would go by as where I had very little to do as more senior members of the team would take any available stories.
Pros
Flexi-Time
Cons
Not enough work

A company that has changed in recent years but had a great culture of collaboration and focus on customers, doing well again with 5G and hope to see it rebound, learned a lot there and great opportunities to travel and work with people around the globe.
Pros
travel, new technology
Cons
managers tend to stay in their roles a long time so internal mobility can be slow

Job security. There is no culture of responsibility or consequence so nobody gives out when you make a mistake. You are more likely to get into trouble for having a bad attitude then for being a bad programmer.

However, since most of the time nobody will ever tell you that you made a mistake and there is no culture of mentoring, it can make it very difficult to learn how to do things better let alone learn new skills.

Career progression is minimal. Junior to senior after five years but no technical path after that. On paper, there are master and principle engineers but they are political appointments and are very rare.

The people are nice and generally relaxed and it is easy to pass a number of years here.
Pros
Flexitime
Cons
poor pay

I just did my Internship, but they helped alot. Even you are related to different background. In internship we worked as a team, using the agile. We have the proper sprints going on, with proper product owner and lot of help was given.

Ericsson really helped me to learn a lot they motivate people to apply their knowledge and gain experience. There are lot of different areas to work in but very hard to move so you might get struck working within the same team for very long time.
Pros
Great working environment, free tea-coffees, gets hand dirty with latest technologies
Cons
Not much interest shown by management in career movement

Working in Ericsson is a good opportunity in a Giant Telecom vendor full of challenges and new technologies deployment. It also a very good chance to expose to different cultures especially the role i played needed a lot of travel around RSSA and Europe.

Poor salary and career advancement prospects for technical staff. New roles consist of managing off-shored resources and fronting projects towards the customer.

Unfortunately I believe this is a dying company.
Pros

Managing the delivery of principles of strategy execution to senior management teams across Ericsson was very rewarding. Working with CEOs and CFOs to understand the strategy for the organizations and converting these into strategic programmes was a great achievement and very interesting.
