Good place to work
Production Operator (Former Employee) - Kilcolgan, County Galway - 4 April 2022
Indeed featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedOver all a good place to work. Management can be unrealistic but depot managers work on ground level so understand the business needs. Good work life balance!

HGV MULTI DROP DRIVER (Former Employee) - Galway, County Galway - 10 September 2022
As a driver you are responsible for driving the trucks, carrying 19kg buckets of oil, collecting the dirty oil, be responsible for the money collected and wash the trucks, all of that for a minimum wage, the majority of times you will start early and finish late, as a driver you also have to load and offload the truck.
Pros
Lunch Allowance
Cons
Carrying buckets, minimum wage.

Good shout.
Production (Current Employee) - Everywhere - 6 September 2022
Good craic on site and drivers are fairly good fun too, only downside would be its abit dirty time to time. Breaks are plentyful as long as you dont go over board. Always something to do.

Excellent atmosphere and chance for progression.
Team Leader (Current Employee) - Galway, County Galway - 4 April 2022
Kilcolgan depot of Frylite is an excellent place to work. Trucks are good, you always work as part of a team. Opportunity for further training and progression if you wish. Management are very approachable and open to suggestions. HGV lessons and test paid for by the company.

Horrible place
HGV Class 2 Driver (Former Employee) - Lisburn - 5 February 2022
Good for a new HGV driver to gain experience but once you get it, go elsewhere. No idea how to run a business or treat people. Very sneaky management. False promises, always saying things will get better but they never do. Salary is pathetic for a HGV driver. Nowhere near industry average and they wonder why they can't hold on to drivers. Working with disgusting waste oil and food waste everyday, coming home stinking. Definitely not worth it.
Pros
Permanent job
Cons
Long hours Terrible pay Bad management Dirty job

Jobs at Frylite
Terrible place .Main problem is the lads training you in .So unhelpful and rude stay well away
Driver (Former Employee) - Kilcolgan, County Galway - 1 July 2021
Terrible place .The main problem is the lads training you in so unhelpful and rude .A lot of the lads there are locals and the management. I found them terrible to be honest. They hire all local lads and don’t seem to like outsiders in my opinion .Stay well away is my advice .Two men per truck alright as it’s heavy work and not a word said all day.I never seen anything like it so rude they really need to look at the staff they have there and there recruitment policy of hiring locals disgraceful in this day nd age .The local lads there just dump oil outside customers premises charge them nd head off and management don’t say a word to them terrible way to treat your customers .
Pros
Weekends off
Cons
Messy work, heavy work, collection of money off customers, staff morale terrible .Local lads do the job half arsed nd are allowed away with it

Felt Appreciated Here
Driver (Current Employee) - Lisburn, County Down - 17 September 2020
This place really values its drivers. They could not do enough for us. Great communication from my manager and I worked with a great bunch of lads. You really get involved with the customer because I delivered to the same premises every couple of weeks. I made some good friendships working here.
Pros
Well organised runs

Bad job
Yard operative (Current Employee) - Dublin - 15 January 2020
Shower of idiots in management. Depot manager is a absolute nightmare to deal with. They have their favourites and it stays that way. Everyone else is treated as peasants

Nightmare
Driver (Current Employee) - Everywhere - 15 August 2019
Started off really well but after a few weeks everything went down hill sharply your expected to do 50 plus hours a week covering call that others haven't got the time to do because they are the golden boys of frylite.. workload doesn't reflect the wage you received team leaders have their hands tied by management and very rarely get help from them any wonder it's a conveyor belt of people coming and going and they are employing anything with a pulse atm. Job would be good for someone looking to get the driving experience if you like long hours and pathetic pay
