I loved working here my manager treated me really well and I originally worked in BOH in the kitchen and I wanted to try out the front of house and my manager allowed me to do this it was a great experience. It’s a job not for the lazy or people who want a relaxed job. You are kept busy most of the day pepping food, cleaning on KP duties I felt the restaurant I worked in was like my family and friends. Some days were hard when the restaurant got so busy but the manager always made staff coffe and bought chocolates to cheer up the mood. Free food on shift was nice and soft drinks are free. I liked working here and would go back after collage

It was my first job in Dublin and I can only say THANKS a million to all staff of GBK for the chance given. The atmosphere was gorgeus and the job was fast pace. Anyway I was supported by the staff everytime even my english level was not so high at the beginning.

It’s a typical chain store. Lots of corporate stuff to put up with. Lots of needless training. Upper management micromanage the restaurants. Tips are very low because the restaurants are counter service. Food is free on shift but done on a points scales. The longer you work the more you can have. Soft drinks and coffee are free
Pros
Almost free meals and drinks. Good staff. Decent food
Cons
No work life balance. Management micromanage. No tips for management or kitchen staff

Management make promises that they don't keep. Training looks good but is full of fluff that really doesn't help in doing the job. All the staff benefits that they talk about are practically non-existent. There is an X-Mas party and maybe one staff party during the year but that's it. Progression is hard and long time waiting. Senior management have play favorites with staff. The hours are a nightmare. Staff are expected to work up to 12 hour shifts and fight for everything
Pros
Free food but it works on a scale
Cons
Micro-management and poor training
