H&M Hennes & Mauritz AB (operating as H&M) is a Swedish retail-clothing company, known for its trendy and fashionable clothing offerings for women, men, teenagers and children. The company was established in 1947 by Erling Persson in Västerås, Sweden. At the time it only sold women's clothing and was called Hennes, Swedish for "hers". In 1968, Persson acquired the premises and inventory of a Stockholm hunting-equipment store, Mauritz Widforss. Included in the inventory was a supply of men's clothing, prompting Persson to expand into menswear. Accordingly, he renamed the store Hennes & Mauritz, later abbreviated to H&M. H&M Group comprises of six independent brands: H&M, COS, Cheap Monday, Monki, Weekday and & Other Stories. We have over 3,600 stores operating across more than 59 markets worldwide.
We want to be at the forefront of both fashion and sustainability. Our employees play a key role and can contribute to more sustainable fashion, today and in the future. Our values also include teamwork and constant improvement; together we challenge ourselves to do things better and create an H&M that always exceeds customers’ expectations.

Absolutely loved working here mainly because I was good at my job I knew exactly what I was doing, it is a very stressful place to work but my colleagues made it much easier most of the time. Management wasn’t fair a lot of the time.
A varied role with a great work environment. Good culture in the company, however low pay with no opportunity for increases unless moving into management
You aren't often seen as a person, instead a pawn put in place to meet the needs of the business. (which I understand to some point). Pronoun pins are a joke as they're too small to read and staff won't respect them anyways. Agreements aren't respected. (agreed rate post interview changed to lower once contract is out, 1 week into training. Agreed boundaries on dates and times you're available in interview is ignored on the schedule once you start.) I stated multiple times I can't do weekends yet I have worked every weekend since I started.
Great place to work. Very team orientated, friendly environment and made some friends for life from H&M. Fast paced and very customer focused which I liked
Good for getting step in customer service roles but it's minimal wage job with no chances of getting raise. When area manager visits store all management is showing off how they are working hard but actually they are sitting in office all the time doing literally nothing.
