Very busy environment
The hotel and catering industry is very busy environment to work in. Recommended for those who likes work long hours. There are opportunities to work in different departments.

Would definitely recommend
Amazing staff and managers! All working as a team and everyone is well respected! I would recommend a job in this hotel for anyone. Amazing food , 3 course meals for lunch and good paycheck!
Staff Member in Athlone, County Westmeath

Gets worse even when you think it can't
Promotes a culture of favouritism and bullying. Management form friendships with select staff and have them watch other staff while they are not there and report back. No progression or positive reinforcement only negative. Toxic atmosphere headed by managers who would totally ignore you all day only speaking to the favourite staff members. No appreciation for staff and just about pay minimum wage, looking for an increase requires begging for months and even telhen they throw you a few cents and expect you to be grateful. Rosters are done to prioritise the favourite staff members while the rest are left to work every single weekend.
Food and Beverage Assistant in Hyatt Centric The Liberties Dublin
on 26 August 2020
Avoid at all costs!!
I worked for this company at their Hyatt Centric hotel in Dublin for its first 6 weeks after opening. Working in the bar/restaurant, shifts felt like they were never-ending, and management bullied their staff. To top it all off, they will sack you after bullying you for weeks and weeks on end, blaming it on your "unsatisfactory performance". Would not recommend at all.
Porter/ Bar Staff in Roscommon

Okay
Very fast paced, not really any quality of life outside of working in the hotel as part time hours mean you are always in to get a proper wage. It thought me how to work hard.
