No, highly inflexible, very difficult to negotiate parental leave/ part time hours. They seem to only want full time staff, as a result they are constantly short staffed as they leave positions unfilled while they wait for these invisible fill time staff to appear which fosters more unhappiness and disillusionment and contributes to increased workloads, tensions and decreases productivity and overall job satisfaction. If they were more flexible in their approach to working mothers and their childcare needs the HSEs chronic staff shortages would be greatly improved.
Hours are set, short days, long days but very good to accomadate staffs changing circumstances.
