Lot of fake reviews on this website, This place sucks
I just went in for an interview for the Room Inspector position and thought I'd give you my thoughts on why I am not taking the job. The starting wage for this supervisor position is only $12.50 starting wage. I make $12.25 at a lower position at another hotel, Starting out as a supervisor at my current job gives you $13 an hour or more so they do underpay.
There is no paid time off until after a year. Health insurance, and this is a quote from the head of housekeeping, is overpriced and she knew of no one in the hotel who had it. And that is about all they offer in terms of benefits.
The real kicker is the following: Despite being hired "full time", Your hours are slashed during the off-season so it is essentially a season job. The head of housekeeping said those who deserve the hours get the hours. If you want more hours from the bare minimum you get in your department, you have to train and work in other departments in the hotel (such as the kitchen and front desk). And even then, She told me that she works a part-time job in addition to the extra shifts she takes in the hotel to make up the difference during the offseason.
So they're offering a full-time job that isn't really full time. The pay isn't that good and the benefits are garbage. And what really struck me was that the GM, who was also sitting in on the interview with me, told me that a lot of people who work there take part-time unemployment so that is also an option for me if I am not getting enough hours and don't wanna work another job.
I wish I was making this up, I really really do.
