Owners get involve in the hotel a lot. Makes the day to day tasks hard to complete and the goal is not achievable.
Learned a lot from the hotel and from my own mistakes.

A great hotel and company, but hard work as on a tight budget. Great clientele who want good service delivered at good value for money. Scope to develop your career, but work life balance was not right at time

Salary employees can expect to work more than 40 hours a week. The colleague team is great to work with and the hotel is beautiful. Great central location

Forget about life. Forget about your family. Forget if you are used to have a life, period.
Manager (Former Employee) –  Florida5 May 2019
If not the worst, one of my worst professional decisions that I have ever made. The culture is to care about other but they dont. You are required to do a 3 position job and you have to do it flawlessly. You have to do everything. The pay is horrible compared to other hotels. Management changes their policies to their convenience. Expect hard work and no reward. If you are thinking to work for hyatt, make sure is a full service hotel and not select service. Dont call out before you have sick time to cover it , otherwise counts as a improper call out which leads to a documentation(doctor note WILL NOT SAVE YOU),yes you are NOT reading that wrong.

Best place to Work on Maui
Manager (Former Employee) –  Wailea, HI8 January 2019
Great Staff, Great Benefits and lots of opportunity. The atmosphere here on this property is fresh and very upbeat. There is a family feeling among all the employees and everyone works very well together to accomplish some of the highest ratings in the travel industry.

First Hotel Job
Manager (Former Employee) –  Oak Brook, IL17 October 2018
Hyatt Oakbrook was my first hotel experience and they allowed me to grow and develop as a young manager. When it was my time to move on and expand my horizons, they encouraged and helped me to get to that next step.

Pretty property, poor management
Manager (Former Employee) –  Coral Gables, FL12 September 2018
The hotel itself is beautiful and I loved working at the location. Unfortunately, the particular department I worked in was poorly managed, understaffed and chaotic.

Great Atmosphere and Culture
Manager (Current Employee) –  Austin, TX25 May 2018
Hyatt Place Austin is a great hotel to work at. Everyone at the hotel is friendly and the culture here is great. This hotel has allowed me to grow personally and professionally by taking on tasks that I have not done previously. The relationships I have built here and the other properties I have worked at while employed with Towne Park are blessings in their own ways. I have enjoyed meeting new people/families and being able to impact their experiences during their hotel stays. Being part of hospitality team, I am expected to be readily available for my team 24/7 which can be exhausting and stressful.
Pros
Being social with co-workers and guests, creating own schedule, working outside
Cons
Never having a routine schedule, being on call 24/7

Upper Management Disapointing
Manager (Former Employee) –  Beaver Creek Village, CO1 March 2018
Hotel was an exceptional place to work, upper management changed in 2017 and the hotel went downhill. Guest interactions and NPS scores were extremely negative. No loyalty to long time employees, house was entirely cleaned. Sad.

Franchisee
Manager (Former Employee) –  Denver, CO15 February 2018
This review is not based on Hyatt Corporate. Many of the Hyatt hotels are owned and managed by third party companies and that is where you need to be careful.

Getting better
Manager (Current Employee) –  Los Angeles, CA23 July 2017
This hotel recently transitioned from an old, dumpy Radisson to a nice Hyatt Regency. For the most part, it is a good place to work. However, there are many employees (including managers) from the old Radisson days that are holding this place back.
Pros

Cons
Upper management does not hold junior managers accountable for anything.

Abusive management
Manager (Former Employee) –  Garden Grove, CA30 May 2017
Management is verbally abusive with little understanding how to perform their own jobs. Relying solely on the opinions of others, decisions are constantly changing without any notice to the people affected.
