The early hours are not for everyone and there's nothing like leaving the house at 5am to get home at 5pm, but my coworkers were great. The customers at the Hyatt are snotty business people, but you get used to them.
Long hours, rude customers
the managers are so young and dumb with very limited experience so they walk around with no say on the work mess around
limited hours, young unexperienced, unfair selection for advancement opportunities
Fast paced and a lot of knowledge is required to succeed. You should always be willing to learn new ares of work and be willing to deal with costumers no matter what position. This job is 24/7, 365; remember a hotel is always running. Management is great but sometimes it can be a hierarchy. You get to know a lot of people not in your department, make a lot of connections, meet regulars, and make great partnerships, and friends.
free lunch, great benefits, free hotel stays
open 24/7, 365
The benefits are wonderful and you have the opportunity to meet and work with people from around the world. Health care is cheap, you get free room stays at Hyatts around the world after working there for a year, and you get free lunch and breakfast. If you're looking to be a server here, just know that it's DEMANDING. The restaurant gets a lot of business, the sections are around 6-8 tables and the hours are long.
