Some great people here but the upper management are bullies
Sales Assistant (Former Employee) –  Ballymun, County Dublin30 January 2019
I worked here for several years and made some friends I'll have for life but the upper management contain some of the most truly toxic and horrible people i have ever met. Being called "stupid" and an "idiot" is common place by one member in particular who holds a lot of sway in the sales side of the business. I've lost many a nights sleep worrying about what the next days work held in store for me. It's so bad that anyone who has worked in Ikea Dublin knows exactly who I'm talking about.
Pros
6 weeks holidays and lots of training
Cons
Toxic management, low pay

Ikea dublin is full of great co workers who keep the place ticking over the managers on the other hand are rude condescending lazy bullies who spend all day sitting in the office or canteen senior management are so out of touch they have no clue wats really going on at grass roots .Wouldn't recommend it as a work place they like to break people no respect or acknowledgement.

Numbing
Sales Assistant (Current Employee) –  Dublin4 July 2017
The work in Ikea can only be described as mind numbing where managers who should be on the floor hide in the canteen all day whilst giving workloads where 2 people are needed yet expecting it all to be done by yourself, If not completed you would receive an embarrassing condescending attitude by people who let you know they felt superior.

The only redeeming factor is the average co worker in Ikea is more than likely going to be very kind.
Pros
6 weeks paid holidays
Cons
Only 16 hour contracts for more than 80% of staff, Managers are rude and unjust
