In order to be a healthcare assistant with Kare Plan, you will need to have completed your QQI Level 5 module Care of the older person and Care Skills. We encourage all of our staff to look at upskilling from time to time especially if they do not yet hold their full QQI Level 5 Award in Healthcare. Due to the demand of healthcare training, we opened our Training School right next door to our head office in Edenmore and we facilitate the full QQI Award for all internal healthcare assistants as well as external too.
We know that each healthcare assistant works very hard to support our clients which is why we want to give you the support and recognition you deserve. We’re here for you when you need us with our on-call support. Once a month, our client care supervisors pick a carer from their area and put them forward for carer of the month too.
