Applied and got interview in ballina co mayo Lidl everything seemed to go well until 2 minutes before end of interview when manager finally made an appearance took one quick look at my cv and said I was no good as I had done more than 5 jobs in the last 12 years of my working life and not to bother applying again as she would make sure I would not get another interview (stupidly high turnover of staff completely different staff in ballina branch every 2 weeks.
Are there any particular types of questions they ask during the interview process? Is there a lot of competency questions?
Just general retail questions. What you like about retail? What previous jobs were like. Etc
My probation was terminated due to failure to satisfactorily complete the probation period, I applied to a different store, I got a phone call with the interview, but they said they need to talk with the HR department, can i still be hired? It was no disciplinary, the management just didnt like my results.
Every manager is different as are their individual expectations, you will be allowed to join another store based on the mitigating circumstances you did not meet the requirements prior, it is best to not mention this as it is a question mark and require answers, if you are reliable and dependable with experience to hit the ground running any store should take you on, focusing only on mentioning positives and leaving out the negatives, and giving a referral based on your character and nature, whatever you did wrong prior surely you will not do it again going forward, learn the art of communicating.
Is it normal for Lidl management to say theyl be back to you on a certain day about a job offer or not after interview? And do they get in contact even if there will be no job offer?
