Lidl Employee Review
Good payment
Customer Assistant (Former Employee) - Dublin, County Dublin - 8 June 2022
A stressful job, lack of hours, a lot of thinks to do. If working on morning shift you will start at 4, maybe 4.30, pack chilller, meat, fruit&veg. Stores open at 8 and u need to be done with most of the above jobs. After 8 u continue packing...till u go home with u re back in bits.
Pros
Decent payment
Cons
A lot of stress

It’s ok for a while , decent pay
Customer Assistant (Former Employee) - Sligo, County Sligo - 6 August 2022
Job is alright for a while , pay is ok , that’s about the only benefit you really have tho. The work is not full time and you will be called on your days off to work. Overall it is ok I have met many nice people working along there but I would not recommend it as a long term work place. Bad management and bullying is a real thing there. If you are out of a job and would rather work while looking for a new job it’s a good Place to be.
Pros
Hourly rate and nice team mates
Cons
Poor management

No work and life balance
Deputy Store Manager (Former Employee) - Dublin, County Dublin - 16 July 2022
They absolutely don't care about your family life. They want you to be available 24/7. They want you to work like a horse to do 10 jobs in one day thats why they pay a little bit more than in other retailers. Store managers sitting in the office 24/7 and demanding from Deputy Managers to do more and to be faster. Store managers taking weekends off but when you ask its never possible. Deputy managers are extremely needed when the hard job needs to be done but when they need promotion they are ALWAYS NOT GOOD ENOUGH but NO TRAINING PROVIDED BY THE COMPANY. Its a lie THEY PROVIDE FULL TRAINING. DON'T FALL FOR THAT. They will show you two things and after they will expect from you to be on the store manager LEVEL. ITS ABSOLUTELY NON SENSE. AVOID!!!!! PEOPLE STAY BECAUSE OF GOOD MONEY.ITS NOT WORTH IT.!you are only a number to them.
Pros
Money
Cons
Everything
