McDonald's Employee Review
Productive and fun work environment
McDonalds Crew Member (Former Employee) - Athlone, County Westmeath - 26 May 2022
Overall it was a great place to work, made great friends there. You will do well if you're a hard worker and a team worker, but will bring the team down as a whole if you're not . Good training involved for a first time job. Hours can be unpredictable and not the best if your a student.
Pros
Free lunches, transportation, employee discount, friendly staff
Cons
Long hours, high staff turnover

The managers are very bias to out of friend co workers and judge based off of looks or personality on how to treat you The work load is simply too much whilst managers disrupt you

Pros
free lunch under a tenner
Cons
customer called me a slur. I’m autistic, do the maths.

Easy money and good experience, BUT
Crew Member (Current Employee) - Athlone, County Westmeath - 20 July 2022
It's easy money, good experience especially for first job, but don't be fooled. 95% of shift managers go on an power trip, the manager can be overbearing. If you're a solid worker and you're chatty they'll appreciate you, but you can get stepped all over easily. Nice for students and good annual leave
Pros
Free lunch, good to students, good experience
Cons
Unpredictable hours, the shift managers egos
