Hard work but decent managers

Indeed featured review

The most useful review selected by Indeed
The work is hard but rarely stressful . Managers will usually take your side if a customer is being unreasonable.Breaks aren’t paid but you do get a food allowance .Perfect for a college student who needs flexibility as they are for the main part due to their large workers base.Pay varies from store to store so make sure you look into this before applying .Its a job with varied responsibilities which is great for training .Best of luck

Productive

Great finish at the end of the month old and the first one is a bit more than I expected to get it done but I have to go to the shop to get the money back from the bank

Busy, hardest Part was customers

Busy spot. You get what you put in to it. Hardest part was dealing with rude customers. Learned time management and de-escalation skills. OK as a part time job

alright

Working for McDonalds can be alright for a short while, depending mostly on your coworkers. You can expect fast-paced work in the evening that can be stressful but with a good manager and co-operative coworkers it shouldn't be too much to handle.

Pros

smoke breaks

Cons

rude customers

Fast paced and friendly

McDonald's is a fast paced work environment, the staff are friendly and there is plenty to do in a day. The pay is good and hours can be ok, would recommend.

Teamwork is fundamental

As long as everyone was on the same boat everything work smoothly. All and all, it was always a matter of 1 or 2 straight cats not pulling themselfes, being just crew or even managment.

Pros

Free lunch, flexible shifts.

Cons

Generics hospitality industry issues.

Not a bad place to work overall.

You will feel pressure sometimes, but depending on the restaurant that you will feel more pressure or less and the management will help you. It's a fast-paced environment that can be overwhelming sometimes. The best part is the people that you meet there

Temporary Job

Minimum wage, to be honest exactly what you expect McDonald's to be. Trained on each station. Busy times and empty times. Go home feeling greasy. Half of time is cleaning.

Pros

Free lunch

Cons

Late and early shifts, going home feeling greasy

Good place to work. Good training provided and a fast paced environment.

Good place to work, you get good training and learn a lot of skills. It's a fast paced environment but staff are nice so it's a lot of fun. Management can be a bit tough but that's to be expected I suppose.. Colleagues make up for it. Pay is decent too. It's a good way to get experience

Bad environment

I worked for McDonald’s for 3 months as I hated it.Training was poor they left me doing the same thing everyday while everyone else was changing and learning new things.Very uncomfortable place from the minute I worked there everyone talking about eachother even managers. Manger’s picked and chose who they liked and treated everyone different.Busy stressful environment with managers who speak about there staff to other staff / management members

Pros

Free lunch

Cons

Too many to list

Not an enjoyable workplace

I didn’t enjoy working here as we were treated badly by management. Very stressful at times. There is quite a large employee turnover which adds to the stress.

Cons

Stressful but enjoyed the people not all managers

The work gets stressful when some managers just watch you be stressed out and do nothing, they would give out to you sometimes for doing nothing wrong just to make themselves feel good. Mostly the female managers. They would gossip and talk about staff . The male managers were lovely and would help out when needed.

Pros

Free lunches

Cons

Rude female managers
