Teamwork is fundamental
Shift Manager (Former Employee) - Dublin, County Dublin - 27 April 2022
As long as everyone was on the same boat everything work smoothly. All and all, it was always a matter of 1 or 2 straight cats not pulling themselfes, being just crew or even managment.
Pros
Free lunch, flexible shifts.
Cons
Generics hospitality industry issues.

Super fast paced workplace.
Shift Manager (Current Employee) - Galway, County Galway - 11 January 2022
Very fast paced. Can be stressful at times. Great opportunity to make friends and have fun while also making money. Not very difficult to pick up and perform the tasks but can be very tiring due to always being on your feet and the sheer volume of orders. Good relationship between managers and crew. Generally get time off when requested. Breaks are always on time.
Pros
Free food on your break. Good training.
Cons
Can have long hours. Can be quite tiring.

I enjoy working with this company as well as my employees
Shift Manager (Current Employee) - Holmestown rd - 27 August 2019
I enjoy the ups and downs as most jobs have. It’s great meeting new people as well as mentoring and coaching our next generation. Our store works as a team especially all managers work together like one big family

Fun workplace with amazing people
Shift Manager (Former Employee) - Dublin - 29 May 2019
Typical day at work would include assigning crew members to positions you would feel would maximize productivity to run a smooth shift.
I would also run the day to day business of my store and assist staff when we would have high volumes of customers.
The hardest part of the job would be dealing with high volumes of customers which would put pressure on running your shift smoothly.
The most enjoyable part of the job would be the people in my team who I got on greatly with.
Pros
Free lunches, great team, advancement opportunities
Cons
Long hours and personally, travelling

Very bad working ethics
SHIFT MANAGER (Former Employee) - North Dublin, County Dublin - 7 November 2018
If you will leave McDonalds and you will attend interview and you will answer the questions as you would in McDonalds you will not get a job! The way you are thought to treat costumers is bad! For exampe treating costumers like first thing in the world then no wonder they treat staff like trash.
Pros
Friends For like
Cons
Bad Human Resources

working environment
Shift Manager (Current Employee) - Drogheda, County Louth - 24 May 2018
Its a busy fast-pace work environment.I've learned how to deal with the general public on a daily basis, resolving complaints etc. Keeping a positive mind can help with the pressure of matching sales and quick service- but keeping crew morale up is highly beneficial and makes the work environment a very enjoyable place to work in.
Pros
free lunches
Cons
shift work

Shame of a Company
Shift Manager (Current Employee) - Lucan, County Dublin - 17 April 2018
The ethos of McDonald's is to use you and you have no other option to comply, especially if you are a part time student.
You are given the bare minimum to fulfill your duties and the upper management set unreachable targets and criticize everything.
Would not work for McDonald's if I literally had any other option.

Fun
Shift manager in Mc Donalds (Current Employee) - Sligo - 21 March 2018
Enjoyable place to work however I feel like the pay isn't enough for the work you have to do as management. Everyone is nice and easy to get on with. Opportunity to work up the career pathis exceptional.
