Nice place to work
Costumer experience leader (Current Employee) - Cork, County Cork - 4 November 2023
It can be stressful sometimes but it’s really relaxed job. They recognise the efforts of the workers. It’s a great place to start to work. Most of the costumers are really good. And they give the full hours. The breaks are 30 min and 15 min no paid.

McDonald's what do you expected
Équipier Polyvalent (Former Employee) - Mountpelier, County Dublin - 2 November 2023
It's what you think, minimum wage, lot of work and angry customer but you will have a good time and the higher up are nice. Good first job or temp job.

Easy going environment. Fair pay. Get days and holidays off that u ask for. Nice managers and colleagues. Would recommend for a first time job as it’s easy to get the hang of.

Fast-paced environment.
Floor Staff (Former Employee) - Galway, County Galway - 17 October 2023
The workspace was very quick. Shifts could be long but there were opportunities to change stations which helped. Other crew members were always there to help while you were trained in.
Pros
Free Lunches
Cons
Long Hours

Ok job for minimum wage

Toxic environment
Crew Member (Former Employee) - Dún Laoghaire, County Dublin - 20 September 2023
I worked here for an extended period of time. Managers were arrogant , dysfunctional, lazy , rude and apathetic. General management was also unprofessional and unfriendly and issues were never dealt with properly. Scheduling was poor and employees were often asked to do more than they were getting paid for. Free meals was a plus. Not trained properly and tasks are repetitive and not given chances to do other things
Pros
Free meals
Cons
Bad management

Not the worst place.
Crew Member (Current Employee) - Ballincollig, County Cork - 10 August 2023
It’s minimum wage for a job at McDonald’s. It’s fast paced and detail oriented. During school short staffed 8. Standing jobs 8 hours a day. It’s fine for a first time job or part-time. If you know McDonalds it’s probably what you expect

Chronically understaffed
Crew Trainer (Former Employee) - Dublin ireland - 13 July 2023
Some staff are lovely which makes it bearable, but McDonalds is chronically understaffed, staff are paid the barest legal minimum and expected to work 40-50 hour weeks after signing part time contracts for 20 hours, with zero support from management.

Very accommodating to a work/life balance
Crew Member (Former Employee) - Cashel, County Tipperary - 8 July 2023
I worked there for a short time. From interview to leaving I found Management and staff very helpful and friendly. I worked in an extremely busy restaurant and felt the breaks could be a little longer. The staff room is very small and if busy there is no where to go to sit and have lunch etc. I feel McDonalds are losing out on nott having more older more mature workers employed.
Pros
Free lunches
Cons
Hourly rate of pay for the type of work
