Good first job
Shift Manager (Former Employee) - Cork, County Cork - 22 June 2022
Very good for first/part-time job. Great promotional opportunities as all managers are promoted with in the restaurant and start as crew. Very good training for promotions, get first aid training every two years.

You make a lot of new friends, great starting job, but not a stable job, at least for me
Crew Member (Current Employee) - Headford, County Galway - 16 June 2022
You make a lot of friends, as many people come and go. There are many stations so you don't really get bored, my managers were very chill and good at their job
Pros
Free lunch, but very limited in my opinion
Cons
Shifts are very random, hours could be cut which lead to an unlivable wage

Productive
Worker (Former Employee) - Dublin, County Dublin - 15 June 2022
Great finish at the end of the month old and the first one is a bit more than I expected to get it done but I have to go to the shop to get the money back from the bank

Very stressful
McDonalds Crew Member (Former Employee) - Navan, County Meath - 14 June 2022
Mangement was absolutely awful they are so disrespectful, crazy long hours , working in heat with no ac if you like to be shouted at by customers be my guest as you can never keep the customers at McDonald’s happy or the delivery drivers

Fun workplace
Crew Trainer (Former Employee) - Ashbourne, County Meath - 9 June 2022
Favourite part about working here was the people, they made the shift fly by. It was very stressful at times and the management can be a bit iffy, we were very understaffed so you would be on multiple stations at once with. One manager in particular was absolutely useless, would never help during a rush, they would just hide away in the office and come out when it died down
Pros
Free lunches
Cons
Unpredictable shifts

Dont be smarter then your store manager
Maintenance (Former Employee) - Clonmel, County Tipperary - 2 June 2022
Managment is bad. Crew Trainers are not trained. You upset the wrong person and your life there will be hard. Pay is okay for a student but not for someone that needs hours,

Lavoro ripetitivo ma ben retribuito
Crew Member (Former Employee) - County Dublin - 29 May 2022
Il lavoro in se non è particolarmente stimolante anche se è ben retribuito e ci sono molte possibilità di progressione di carriera.

Productive and fun work environment
McDonalds Crew Member (Former Employee) - Athlone, County Westmeath - 26 May 2022
Overall it was a great place to work, made great friends there. You will do well if you're a hard worker and a team worker, but will bring the team down as a whole if you're not . Good training involved for a first time job. Hours can be unpredictable and not the best if your a student.
Pros
Free lunches, transportation, employee discount, friendly staff
Cons
Long hours, high staff turnover

Jobs at McDonald's
Teamwork is fundamental
Shift Manager (Former Employee) - Dublin, County Dublin - 27 April 2022
As long as everyone was on the same boat everything work smoothly. All and all, it was always a matter of 1 or 2 straight cats not pulling themselfes, being just crew or even managment.
Pros
Free lunch, flexible shifts.
Cons
Generics hospitality industry issues.

Heart Breaking and soul crushing
Crew Member (Former Employee) - Dooradoyle, County Limerick - 25 April 2022
The customers will appear in your nightmares abusing and berating you while management will also appear asking you to work overtime and turn your 8 hour shift into a 10 hour and then a 12 hour and then a 16 hour. Do mot work here it will break you.

Friendly people and good work
Crew Member (Former Employee) - Navan, County Meath - 8 April 2022
Really friendly staff, depending on what hours you work could be really busy or slow, nice and enjoyable to walk into and I don’t end up feeling too tired after. Some people can make or break the shift
Pros
Free lunches Nice staff

Crew member mcdonalds
Crew Member (Former Employee) - Wexford, County Wexford - 6 April 2022
Nobody cares about you, mad early starts or really late night finishing, get shouted at for being too slow and threatened with training slips. Could get your break an hour after you coming in
Pros
Free lunch, see schedule 2 weeks in advance

Temporary Job
Crew Member (Former Employee) - Dublin, County Dublin - 17 March 2022
Minimum wage, to be honest exactly what you expect McDonald's to be. Trained on each station. Busy times and empty times. Go home feeling greasy. Half of time is cleaning.
Pros
Free lunch
Cons
Late and early shifts, going home feeling greasy

Constant work
All rounder (Current Employee) - County Wexford - 15 March 2022
Breaks always given on time, however bad pay for under 18s (€9 an hour compared to €11 for over 18s). Bad hours at the start (mainly 12-8 / 1-9), and can be working late (until 11-12 pm).

A job for night owls
Crew Member (Current Employee) - Cashel, County Tipperary - 13 March 2022
Job is decent? Like it's easy enough for the pay and you get free lunch but you could have the weirdest hours. Could be on till 1/2am one night then back in for 12pm the next day. Some customers are unbearable. Say they're flexible but they make you set yourself to fully available? 48 hours? I have worked 11 days in a row just to get 2 days off. Would be better if the scheduling was better.
Pros
Free lunch and employee discount.
Cons
Weird hours, customers

Horrible hours
McDonalds Crew Member (Former Employee) - Cork, County Cork - 11 March 2022
I told them I wanted to work part time due to college, so they stuck me on full time on the evening shift. I had to work until 1am, sometimes 2am on college nights. Honestly awful place to work as they clearly don't listen to their employees.
Cons
Long hours

Fast paced and enjoyable
Team Leader (Former Employee) - Cork, County Cork - 4 March 2022
It can get very busy and stressful. However with good management can be very enjoyable. You get free lunch every day which is a bonus. But there is no work life balance and you could get called to come in on your days off a lot
Pros
Free lunch
Cons
No work lift balance

Ok place to work
Crew Member (Former Employee) - County Cork - 20 February 2022
Was very fast pace, stressful, a lot of overtime, no ever saw any of the so called benefits such as employee of the month nor any recognition, pushing to get people to get customers to do food for thoughts, some lovely crew but management could of been better, could get very abusive customers with little support to deal with them, unhealthy work environment, shoes were the cheapest of cheapest so feet were in agony, felt as though there was one rule fr one person and another rule fr another, people pleased themselves, became tiring and unsociable hours, list could go on
Pros
Free lunch up to €10
Cons
Long hours and no social life and under paid
