Great working environment. The people are always treated with respect. The salary was probably the best I have ever seen but you have to work for it. Management always get the best out of the staff.

Pros

Guaranteed work

Cons

Long hours

great place to work

If you want to progress in Oxigen and have a can-do attitude you will get on. The Company always thinking of Safety 1st. People stay a long time in the company and you build great friendships with your workmates.Family-run company the people in charge get involved when things get busy and help where they can. With Covid closing companies for long periods, the Waste Business is vital for the country and stayed open. The quality of the staff dedicated and committed to keeping things moving

Pros

The CEO leads from the front always takes the lead

Cons

High turnover speaks for itself

Are you tired of your regular boring 9-5? Do you feel groggy in the morning, or sometimes struggle to become alert before lunch? Have no fear, the valued customers here at Oxigen Environmental are here to help! Nothing will perk you up faster than a grown adult screaming bloody murder in your ear at 9:01 am because their bin has not been collected for the third week in a row. Here you will learn the true meaning of patience, while also taking the reins and following your own initiative. Only because you'll have absolutely no support from any of your superiors and the only colleagues capable of assisting you are probably too busy sobbing uncontrollably over their bachelor's degrees. It isn't all as challenging as you'd think. There are some really easy parts of the job. Like the fact that you don't even need to introduce yourself to new staff seeing as they won't be there long enough to remember your name. The stressful work environment is all made worthwhile when you check your minimum wage payslip and notice that every cent of your commission was taken by the tax man. In conclusion, if you fancy getting yelled at 40hrs a week for the lowest amount of money you can legally be paid, with no chance of progressing, all while being expected to do the work of three people in three different departments, this is the perfect place for you.

Pros

Office hours, free parking

Cons

Abusive clientele, poor wages, no support, poor management, being liable for everyone else in the company not doing their job.

Stepping stone job

The hours made the job very appealing. The rate of pay versus the work that is done does not go hand in hand. Days are tough with little support from higher up. Everything is left in the hands of call centre staff who don't have the ability to resolve particular issues, leaving customers irate and unsatisfied.False representation of career progression also.

Pros

9am-5.30pm work week

Cons

Wage, Stressful environment

Poor

Very bad place to work, management always laying about everything, money never paid right, have to fight about you wages, trucks is very dangerous on road nobody looks after, discusting in cabs, dangerous for you health, have to start very early 3-4 o'clock in the morning, I didn't meet any person in that company would be happy, everybody upset, very bad money, wouldn't recommend.

Poor salary

Working and living in Dublin, on a very poor salary left me with little hope of ever saving. Started to dip in to my own savings to cover costs. Could not afford to stay in this position, after 4 years in uni, for just over minimum wage

Minimum Wage

Very fast paced a lot of duties not reflective of the pay. The duties that you are expected to do definitely don't reflect the wage pack at the end of the week.

Cons

wages

It was a great company to work for.

A typical day would include servicing trucks. It would also include welding trailer chassis and changing clutches on trucks. I learned a lot about hydraulics and electrics. The management were not very co-operative. They liked to bully staff a lot. The other mechanics that I worked with were very easy going and easy to get on with.

Pros

I learned alot about the job of a hgv mechanic.

Cons

Poor salary.
