Learning a lot
Manager (Former Employee) –  Blanchardstown, County Dublin27 October 2018
You can learn a lot, management is generally good but not in all areas.
Culture is ok, Internal communication is a bit fake though.
In higher positions the working week is 50+ hours, company also keeps restructuring in the last few years, letting people go with redundancy packages.
Salary and package is very good though.
Pros
Salary, colleagues.
Cons
Long hours, company restructure too many times in the last few years letting people go

PayPal has great benefits and promotion opportunities. The middle management are terrible, the have the egos and ambition of CEO's and are ruthless and dishonest.

Great company with lots of benefits
UK Account Manager (Current Employee) –  Dublin4 February 2018
PayPal is a great company for those looking to kickstart their career. The relaxed atmosphere is welcoming and there are a large variety of jobs to learn from. Progression can be made with hard work and good networking but can be sometimes frustrating to get off a base level job due to high competition. Management are usually very good but some red tape can be involved which is understandable for a large company. Work/Life balance is normally very reasonable and for most jobs, you're able to switch off completely once you go home. Salaries are not the highest but benefits are good like gym, pension and healthcare.

PayPal overall
Compliance and EDD analyst (Former Employee) –  Dublin27 November 2017
PayPal gave me the opportunity to learn different aspects of the products by learning the overall knowledge of each department .
I had the opportunity to grow within the company to my desired position which was Compliance and EDD analyst by vetting all potential risks linked to customer and business accounts making sure these adhered with PayPal Compliance and EU Regulations against Money Laundering.
PayPal is a great place to work thanks to its multicultural experience and environment .
Pros
Company benefits (Company shares - Health Care policy )

Average company
Account Manager (Current Employee) –  Dublin28 June 2017
If the work and life balance is valued in the company, the management is not listening to their people, salaries are very low and out of the market as well as the benefits.

In 10 years they have not improved benefits or listened to the work force.

The retention rate is very low and employees are no longer that happy on how they are treated by the management.

There's little room for career opportunities from a top management, project management and business analyst perspective If you are not Irish

Fun environment
Fraud Prevention Agent (Former Employee) –  Dundalk, County Louth4 May 2017
A typical day at work for me started at 8am and I would then start into reviewing leads and cases that were relevant to my role. The workplace culture is fantastic and they have many benefits that come with working for the company. I learned many skills from my time here and even completed a diploma in Financial Crime which was paid for by the company. The most enjoyable part of the job is the people, you have a team of people you interact with everyday, everyone is friendly and there is a great atmosphere. Every 3 months we get a bugdet per team and can go for night out, activity or whatever we want as a team.
Pros
Free lunch/breakfast every quarter, night out every quarter, 24 hour access to free gym, VHI health cover
Cons
Long days involved with computers

Business Development Executive (Current Employee) –  Dublin20 April 2017
product itself could be interesting but it is not valued as it should be.

Main problem is the management, they should remove all of them and start from scratch to build a pleasant environment.

no communication, no transparency in most of the cases, no opportunity to grow within the company, you can be stuck in the same position for years.

Salaries are low compared to what you can find outside, what a person generally earn after a couple of years, another person can have it from the start in another company.

Work life balance is the only positive thing that I can write about.
Pros
work life balance
Cons
management, salary, no career progression
