Sales Assistant in Dublin, County Dublin
on 27 June 2022
Good first job
Good pay, €11.22 an hour even under 18, and the pay increases by €1 for every year you're there. Only thing is that it only counts on continuous work, if you leave for a few months and come back the year starts over. Great people to work with and good staff facilities as well.Retail Assistant in Blanchardstown, County Dublin

Experience
It was my favourite place to work at and I loved working there. It is my local store so that is a great bonus. Then came the day I was let go but hopefully they'll let me back some day...Retail Assistant in County Dublin

Nice place to work
Friendly co-workers, decent management. Hours vary alot, one week you could work 16 hours, the next 32. A good job to have if you don’t mind only getting minimum hours Sales Assistant in Waterford city, County Waterford

Can be very boring
Can be very boring most of the time with managers constantly breathing down your neck. Very hard to book time off even if you are available to work other days. Shifts can be long and can only have your 11 hours minimum rest between shifts regularly. Pay is good but not worth the hassle that you recieve when in the job. Older staff treated differently than the younger staff and are given less demanding jobs as "they've done their time". Nepotism runs very strongly with some of the younger staff which also get landed with less demanding jobs. Very hard to be made permanent and even some of the best workers are let go due to them not having family in the job. Overall is good if you are a student and trying to earn a few bob but would not recommend staying there. What would you say about your employer?
