Great hours, Good benefits.

Indeed featured review

Working 5 am to 2:30 pm was great at the time having small kids. Good work-life balance. I enjoyed traveling to a different customer location every day and meeting new people installing fountain and vending machines. Culture is friendly as long as you work hard, do your job and not be a complainer.

Pros

Great hours, Good benefits.

Cons

none

A lot of work

Poor management care and warehouse would force people to come involuntarily. We would work past normal hours and expect a lot to be done with not so many people

Pros

Free drinks

Cons

No social life

This job is for people with families or any sort of life

The management is not good at all they don’t care about anything that has to do with your life or family all you are is just a number if you don’t have a family or any life at all this would be a great place to work. The managers are so unorganized and half the time don’t know what’s going on. Its sad really PepsiCo is a great company with awesome benefits But you can never put a price on your sanity no Regular days off the only day off you get is Saturday The downfall to this company will be management not the people.

Good place to work I like it only bad thing is the hours

It’s good pay but hard back breaking work and the hours are ridiculous being forced to work your day off only getting 1 day off for months Average 12 hours a day you’ll have no life outside of work if you have a family you won’t see them much

Pros

Good pay free water and Gatorade

Cons

Long hours and no days off

Horrible place to work!

Very demanding job with no work/life balance. New pay scale where you have to reach numbers to make a decent paycheck, but the numbers are unattainable. Work 50+ physical hours a week just to take home a $700 paycheck. Don't get sick or take vacation, they frown upon it. If you do, somehow they get away with only paying you $50 for the day with their ridiculous pay calculations that no one can decipher. Every couple of years they do a route change along with a pay change that decreases the annual amount by $5k-$10k.

Pros

None

Cons

Long hours for a small paycheck

Long hours, monotonous work

Merchandising for Pepsi will have you working long hours but never exceeding 40 hours a week. They absolutely do not want to pay over time. Some employees will go above and beyond to set up the next guy. Others will cut corners anywhere possible as the repercussions are nonexistant. It is difficult to be fired and many people take advantage of this. The job difficulty relies on whether or not you have a good route.

Pros

Good pay for putting soda on a shelf

Cons

Often picking up after coworkers who slack

Good job security

Forced relocation for advancement usually. They really push relocation for moving up. Has innate culture of 2 years and then moving on to the new position which does not cultivate strong teams. Leadership has quick turnarounds.

Driver

Over worked they expect you to be a yes sir company over there you have to be willing to take the bull and the disrespect from the customers. If you give a look or a motion that shows your not happy and they call your sales person your in for a good chewing or even a long quick walk out the door. They don't care to move you to an area where you can be successful they just expect you to get it done and this is very exhausting not worth the pay or the constant verbal abuse. Managers do not want to hear nothing from you.

At Pepsi your just another number. The working load of a delivery driver is a lot and the pay is too low.

To me is a dead end job. As a driver you have a lot of responsibility and they pay you really low. The dispatcher plan the route really bad y have to figure out to complete 15 stop in 12 hour.

Pros

New trucks

Cons

Pay is low compared to job you do as truck driver.

Opportunity

Work hard for 40 years and you’ll be set. Careful of people stabbing you in back for their own advancement. Hold your cards close someone is always leaking to take credit for others.

Pros

Always grows

Cons

Long days, stressful

Very fast paced work environment

The job was fast paced but not stressful if you did your job correctly. This job is too dependent on how the person who merchandised the store before did.

Fun place to work

Had a lot of good people working to make the company run great. Management was a little pushy on getting things in to stores but over all was fun to work there.

Pros

Co-Workers

Cons

Some stores

Worst job ever

Place is trash honestly id rather work for Coke. They have a better environment and less work....meaning more people to assist you. If you don't have a good lead your life is going to be frustrating. Thought this was a career but highly wrong

Pros

More money if you need it

Cons

Changing management every other month and having to do someone else's job

Very hot place to work

Easy but very hot and messy place to work in the summer. Most of the veterans there are grumpy and rude. Makes it hard to work with a positive attitude.

Delivery driver

Was ok company till headquarters in New York tried to control what your job is. Cut down from 5 to 4 days. Cut a lot of overtime and expect you to survive in 39 hours per week Some jr leads were butt kissers they thought they know it all. Dispatching routes were horrible and had you all over the valley. Warehouse loaded your trailer like they didn’t care And not strapping the loads down. Push you to pre plan your vacation weeks. Always waiting on customer to check you in or always for a dock

Pros

None

Cons

Had holidays off now you have to work holidays

Average Corporation

Average corporation - in the worst of ways. As you get higher up, the culture develops more into 'the ones below me do the work.' Have had lower/middle management lie to manipulate employees. Have had lower/mid managers ignore employees, leaving the lower level employees to just keep working regardless of problems. Work flow increases, so does your work load. Assistance is not expected. Sales reps are performance based on products sold/revenue generated - which creates more work and wasted products. I had a local, mom-and-pop style gas station by my residence serviced by pepsi co. The manager was denying all sales and talks with pepsi reps til the gas station sold their overstock. The sales rep started showing up when the manager was out, and just having the employees sign the sales order - unkown to the manager..$2K orders with over $2K worth of product in the store not being moved..

Not a place to plant roots

For the cdl delivery position you are promised a lot but will never see half of it. Management is terrible, it is clear that all the delivery supervisors are just trying to do whatever they need to do to move along further in their careers, they do very little in the helping drivers department. If a driver needs something in the field they are blamed for it no matter what. If there are situations out of the drivers control It is laid upon the driver to make all necessary calls to get the situation rectified. Truthfully the only time you get a call from the supervisors is if their work has been effected. Drivers wait too many different hats causing for a very stressful work invironment .
