Good place to work

Indeed featured review

I worked for this company for a year and a half. They were in a transition from side delivery trucks to a box truck going Geo box. With this transition they were cutting pay so I couldn't afford tow work here any longer

Good Pay but must be willing work alot

Not a bad job to have. You get paid well for the work you do. I have no complaints other than the work/life balance and maybe the days off. Just have to be willing to work so much. Paychecks will look nice, but you’ll also feel tired, stressed, and feel like you have no life outside of work.

Pros

Good pay

Cons

Overall a good job with good pay

Overall a good job if you're willing to work for it. I like that when you finish your route for the day you are done. After learning and getting good at the job a typical day is 8-10 hours. Learning curve to the job. Management is ok overall, pretty supportive. Stand offish co-workers and managers at first due to the high turnover. Unless you've been at the company for 5+ years there is lots of forced overtime. Least favorite parts of the job is getting forced to work on the weekends doing a job I didn't sign up for (merchandising). Not that great of a work/life balance and it is hard on the body. Side load trailer that is not built to order is inefficient and seems very dated.

Pros

Good pay, benifits, job perks

Cons

Forced overtime, work almost every weekend

great benefits, pay is to low

Pepsi an ok place to work for, benefits are good 401k and a retirement pension if you stay with them until you retired. The pay is kind of low for all the work you do. They don't pay hourly, they pay commission =+ Base Pay. The Driver team lead needs more training, he don't know how to deal with the pressure.

Great company to work for if you’re not afraid of work.

A day in the life of a delivery driver is a long and sometimes difficult one. The hours are long and full of non-stop labor. The pay definitely makes up for the physically challenging aspects of the job. If you can make it through summer, you’ll be okay.

Pros

Good pay, benefits

Cons

Labor intensive

Fast Pace job fair pay

Good management actually great management. Annual pay raises every year The work can get heavy at times depending on the time of year Oh is fair considering how much grunt work was taken out of the job to maintain drivers

Pros

Decent pay for the work management takes care of its employees

Cons

Early mornings and extremely rude customers

It's a stepping stone

Health-care is expensive and job work/ life balance sucks. On any given weekend you can get forced in for overtime on a Saturday or on your scheduled day off making harder to keep appointments or handle any other personal business.

Pros

Pay

Cons

Healthcare expensive

This company demands front line employees make Pepsi their life

Used to be a great company but it’s changed since new leadership came. Used to be so proud working for Pepsi but now all we do is work. Can’t get days off and working 6 days all summer long. Like work life balance? Don’t come here.

Pros

Money benefits

Cons

No work life balance back breaking work and a lot of politics

Labor Heavy Pays well

Good pay at least in local 570. Management willing to put you on desired route (start time) if available. 12-14hr days year round(plenty of overtime). Just got new equipment after years of promising next year or next quarter. Some mangers throw you under the bus some don't. If you come on on time do your job and get out you should have no issues.

Pros

Great pay/ benefits

Cons

Heavy labor/Strict attendance system

Typical Big American Company

If you want to be a number, work hereIf you want to be told by someone how to do your job who's never in their life attempted to do your job, then is place is for youIf you want to work in a unionized environment where the union bows down to management and has absolutely no backbone, then this is your dream jobIf you want to work 14 hours a day, have your days off moved around to benefit them, this is a great place for that If you want a good job that cares about you, then go somewhere else.Toxic

Pays well but has very little work/home balance. Class A CDL Delivery Driver

This job pays well and offers great benefits. The bad is you will work hard for five days a week and they will continuously deny time off, and you will be given a very hard time by management if you need to call out. They have a "24" hour window that you must call out before the start of your shift. Example: If you end up becoming violently ill at 7PM the day before your shift, they will write you up for calling out the next day. So, you must know if you are going to be ill by 4AM the day prior to your call out. A typical day here is clocking in by 5AM, completing all stops "8-10 hour shift" by 3PM, taking truck back, cleaning out trailer, parking tractor, paperwork, etc. By the time you have clocked in, to the time you clock out you will be over 10 hours. They will work you to the bone, and management will not care one bit. You just better show up to your next scheduled shift whether or not you are fine, or sick. Drive the truck and unload all products is all they care about.

Pros

Good pay

Cons

Work you to the bone with no work/life balance.

Very physical

Drive truck to convenience stores, unload truck by hand, bring product into stores using a hand truck, check in product with customers, then fill the shelves. Customers can be a pain. Also paid by the case, not the hour at about 21 cents per case plus a base pay of $111. Equipment is dated, most trucks have no AC. Work days are usually 8-12 hours long you are done when the truck is empty.

Pros

$1.00 vending machine, free water, work alone

Cons

No breaks, low pay for what you do, benefits aren’t great, very hot in the summer

Good pay but lots of stress.

Pepsi is a good company to work for, but comes at a cost of stress, family/personal life balance. My caution is that if you're young and single and want to work hard to earn good money then this is the place. To those with families plan on working long days and most likely weekends.

Pros

Good pay and benefits

Cons

Work life balance, poor communication from management.

Work till the truck is empty.

Young mans job. Can be loaded with 1000 + cases of pop and have to deliver by yourself. Managers would promise to help sometimes, and then wouldn't show up. Was told the job is based on 10 hour days, but often they were longer. Managers also would placate employees by listening to complaints and then doing little or nothing about it. Overall, pay was pretty decent. 60k/yr when I left. Benefits were okay.

Great place to work. (Frito-Lay)

This is a great place to work. The work load isn’t by any means unrealistic. The culture at Frito-Lay is second to none. I left because of restructuring of the warehouse. I would definitely work for the PepsiCo group again if an opportunity come up. It’s a great company.

Pros

Company culture

Cons

Would like more hours/shifts

Meh

it is a union job but its a very weakly operated neutered union. This is a physically demanding job with long hours average 10-12 a day. Pay is fair for the region but nothing outstanding. Management is good to listen but usually that is about all you get from them.

Pros

Paid weekly

Cons

your a vendor
