Good management, good support for drivers

Indeed featured review

The most useful review selected by Indeed
Management has done a good job of not leaving drivers out without support whenever they can. The pay is decent if you're willing to put in the hours. Don't expect a consistent schedule.

How bad management is

Pepsi is all about Pepsi first. Because it’s all about the corporation if you have a situation you are guilty until proven innocent. The only people who stick around are people who has been there 5+ years. It’s seems like a good place to work until you get some time in there, then you see how things really are. Management is a problem.

Pros

It starts off good

Cons

You won’t know your start time until someone text you, You won’t know what you’re doing until you get to work.

Great pay/ benefits no life outside except for vacation

They’re short driver all across the country. You’ll work you butt off. But you will get paid for it. You start early and work till your done. Don’t expect it to be easy. It’s very physical, can be stressful, I gets hard. But at the end of the day you know you did a good job. You’re apart of a small group of people every day and everyone is in the same boat.

Pros

Free drinks, they give out gear every once in a while.

Cons

You’ll work through your break if you want to get ahead or stay on schedule.

Great place to start if you just got your CDL

Fun place to work if you don’t mind working hard. Cheverly was a union job as far as drivers and the pay was great. They also hire those that have done time and just getting your CDL.

Management has little to no respect for their new hires, we break our backs working 6 days mandatory sometimes 14 hours a day with nothing to show for it, they wouldn't even grant me time off for my newborn baby

Don’t do it

The only good part of the job is when you start your first few weeks and your training and following someone around after that’s over you are alone and never get any help no matter what happens

Pros

Free drinks

Cons

Made to take a lunch and work during it

Broken promises

Management shows complete lack of leadership skills. Started out as an hourly paid employee and switched several weeks later to a daily rate employee cutting my check in half and losing all overtime. Very long hours and total disregard for personal life outside of work. The only reason why one stays here is because of the benefits and little pension. Other than that STAY AWAY!!

Pros

benefits and pension

Cons

pay, management sucks, long hours, dont care about life outside of work.

Coke is better anyways

Management only cares about making their bonus! Warehouse is lazy, they constantly load busted up unsellable cases. Their trucks are OLD AF and do not have A/C. Local 830 union placates to the management team and could care less about the drivers. Thats a FACT! It's rather disgusting

Pros

They have BBQs.... sometimes

Cons

god awful communication, horrible trucks

Did not expect this

I don’t want this to sound bitter, it is one of the most frustrating places I’ve ever worked, very early mornings, late days almost no time off, this is not what I thought it would be

Pros

New equipment

Cons

Pay is commission, management does not care, 1 day off per week or 60 hrs whichever comes first, pay fluctuations

Back breaking

Great management, hard work and every day is back breaking, loads are so heavy most days you barely have time to stop and eat lunch. Great pay and benefits, not a forever job because it kills your body.

Pros

Good pay

Cons

Heavy loads

Everything good but the job

Great boss, and co workers. The job itself is highly phisically demanding, and long hours if you don't work fast. For what you make you can get that just about any trucking job, and not have to work as hard.

Pros

Good benifits, very good boss, and co workers.

Cons

Very phisically demanding work.

Great company

Love this company. By far, the best place I’ve ever worked at. Love the people I work with and the support from the upper management. Plant manager is an outstanding boss.

Worst Beverage Company

Hard Labor. No support from Management. Equipment is old and ran down. You are given a manifest with unrealistic service times. Then they give you a route that is designed to be 8-10 hours, but you will usually do 12-14 hours a day. They cap you off at 60 hours. You will probably not run the same area( route) every day. It takes more then a year to actually get to bid on a route. Route pay is 23.00 and the route drivers are barely running there route. They might knock you back to 4 days a week. Monday Thursday and Friday are the heaviest day. And I won’t begin to talk about how messed up the warehouse is. They forget to load pallets, don’t properly place the pallets so you spend extra time searching. Having to moving pallets around to find your stop. All around there is a lot of favoritism there at the plant.

Pros

Drinks. Paid weekly on Friday.

Cons

No Support
