Hard labor decent pay

Indeed featured review

The most useful review selected by Indeed
If you don’t care about your personal life this is a job for you. Management cares about cases loaded not employees. But you can guarantee a good paycheck because they can’t keep employees.

Pros

Pay & hours guaranteed

Cons

Trash management.

Apply at your own risk

Pepsi is a decent job to work for if you have a short-term financial goal or okay with minimal work life balance. I worked up to 89 hours one week and not because I wanted too. You get two days off but most times you are forced in on your off day; forced as in not up for debate once the supervisor tell you that you have to come in on your off day. It's an union job so they can keep you there up to 16 hours if the job isn't complete. They can be very understaffed sometimes with call outs or not having enough people on the team. This makes your shift longer because you can't leave until all the trucks are loaded. Warehouse supervisor are not honest during the hiring process which is why the turnover rate is high. Everything is done by seniority from breaks, time you leave, time off, etc.. Only good thing about this job is if you really need money, the opportunities are there. A few guys work almost 90 hours a week willingly, so you can make up to 1,400+ a week if you want.

Pros

Decent pay, benefits, sometimes giveaways

Cons

Work life balance, dishonest supervisors

Hard work

It’s a very physically demanding job that’s for sure. If you can handle long hours of repetitive work then this job is for you. I recommend a good pair of shoes

Cons

Hours, managers, the list could go on for days

Over worked no social life

If you want to make money its a great place to work, as long as you don't have a family and social life. Management is mostly useless and will constantly lie to you. you are forced to work 6 days a week 12 to 16 hrs a day.

Pros

Pay

Cons

Management, work life balance

Not a good location to work

Pepsi is a good company to work for. However, the Austin location was nothing but a disappointment. This location has experienced massive growth in the past couple of years and Pepsi simply cannot cope. They don’t have the space or equipment to be able to keep up. As a loader, be expected to work until after 7am. The job is advertised as an “evening” job, but it is really an overnight job. You will work 16+ hours and have mandatory OT on your off days. Benefits are good and compensation is alright, could be better considering the shift you’re working. There is no work/life balance. You won’t even get a full 8 hours sleep between the time you get off and your next shift. As a new loader, they don’t bother you too much about speed and quotas but after you have been there a certain amount of time they ride you about it. The environment is typical for a warehouse, lots of males and a woman or two. Some people are nice to the newbies and some treat them poorly and make bets on how long someone will last. If you have a record or are in a money crunch, it’s a good place to work. Otherwise, don’t even waste your time. The money is not worth the damage it will do to your body as well as the personal sacrifices you will have to make to work there. Until Pepsi learns about efficiency and proper operations, they will have a high turnover rate. The Austin warehouse is not unionized. 1 star.

No room for your personal life

The warehouse is not ideal if you want a life outside of work. When one person calls off, everyone suffers. If you are young and enjoy strenuous work, then pepsi is a good fit. Overall, everyone is underpaid for the type of work they do. Its non stop and the wages don't fit the work load. Other employees do way less work for more money at Pepsi and it seems unbalanced. Do not take the warehouse if you have a family. You will never see them.

Pros

You have a paycheck

Cons

No family-work life balance

Not bad if you dont mind inconsistent hours and leadership.

After corona sales went through the roof and staffing suffered. Job security is there but you often work 12 hrs a day, 5 sometines 6 days a week. Good place for felons or people in a money crunch.

Pros

Lots of OT, job is independent

Cons

No work life balance, not enough equipment for all employees.

More of a life style then job

You will be here 6 days a week most of the time 12 hours a day. There is hardly any work/life balance this job pretty much becomes your life during the summer the heat becomes unbearable. Pay is decent due to overtime job is also easy but I have seen many people get hurt for going above and beyond. Turn over is crazy management is constantly on you for your numbers.

Pros

Good pay

Cons

Too many hours

Productive

If you like being on your feet, this is the job for you. Extremely fast paced but it makes the shift go by quick. Do your job and stay on task, the team will get out of there quicker. Nobody leaves until everyone is done.

Pros

Two 15 minute breaks paid and a 30 minute unpaid lunch

very fast paced

Pepsi is very upfront with the position that you are applying for. Be prepared to work a lot of hours and know that your finish times differs each and every day. You will have a definite start time, but not a definite end time.

If you wanna say yes and please boss and take orders then this is for you. The supervisors and office people are the ones who win in this place. And if you are not the boss pet then you can hang it up

Pros

Awful place to work for

These people are beyond the worst company to work for supervisor and management have no kind of knowledge about a warehouse most of them have no experience at a warehouse they hire general managers with no warehouse experience u have to get a number that almost makes it impossible to make it home at a decent time qC favor selected few people and they give them pallets and help them cheat to go home don’t work for this place unless you don’t want to spend time with your family and have no time for yourself pay is great if u kill yourself and work 17 hour days 😂

Pros

Money

Cons

You will be stressed in no time

Cool work place to be in

I like the job flexible hours eight hour days are the best. The management it great, and very understandable. They do play favoritism tho. Especially if you have family there.

The company is great but honestly as a warehouse loader especially being new their is a lot of things hidden from you

It’s not a bad company to work for but you have to really love hard work. As a warehouse loader you have to meet your quotas especially for new hires, to be actually hire on. What they don’t tell you in orientation and the interview alone that specifically as a warehouse loader you have to meet quotas. For new hires your are on a 60 working day probation period to see your overall performance and if your able to meet the company’s needs. With that being said as a new hire you have to reach a 90% productivity, have only a 5% audits, and can’t miss no more than 3 days before the end of your probation period is up or otherwise they will let you go. Fast paced job with little to no training. Plus the 10 hour days they say you will work in the interview is not true a lot of times you find yourself work 16-18 hour days. Very high turnover rate due not keeping anyone due to people not making it through there probation period or people walking out on the job. It’s a great job if you need the money. Pays weekly with generous benefits but I can say the only great thing about it. If you not a person that don’t like working hard for your money than this is not the job for you.

Pros

Pay and benefits

Cons

As a new hire if you don’t meet your quota before your 60 days

Worst job I ever had

a horrible company. I worked there for 3 years and received a 5 cent raise for the entire time. We worked 16-20 hour days.Warehouse is not an ac environment. The plant manager didn't want to even let us drink water from the damaged product unless we paid for it. This was in 95 to 100 outside. The bosses would make blind orders (guess) every holiday. Our shifts would get pushed back until 3 pm. Always ended up working into the holiday. You don't have a set time to get off. Your shift ends when work load is 100% The pepsico in baton rouge la was the worst. It's was shut down a few years back. Horrible company from the top all the way down to the floor. If you decide to work for pepsico make sure they have a union. If not they will drive your body into the ground. No one cares about you as a person. The only thing they worry about is 100% completion. Doing a 250,000 case load with 5 people is rough on earth. But that is the every day at the pbc. If you decide to work for this company I would advise you to not look at it as long term.

Pros

You earn a paycheck

Its all a trick, they dont care about you.

Highest starting pay rate is $20 hourly. Because they know they can hire anybody who wants to break his back working. They treat you like a slave the entire shift. You don’t wanna work here believe me.

Pros

Good benefits and pay

Cons

15 breaks and 30 min lunch if you past them you are in probation (Slave you)
