Easy work

Indeed featured review

The most useful review selected by Indeed
It’s an easy job but the hours can be long and the work repetitive. Management is helpful and willing to help out. Competitive pay compared to similar work in the area.

Under appreciated. Poor scheduling.

Raises, even when you are owed them, never come without a fight. The equipment is so old you spend more time fixing problems and limping the machines along than actually operating them. Can't blame maintenance foe the issues either. They are giving CPR to dead dinosaurs on nightly basis just to get them to barely function. Seen some pretty morally bankrupt decisions made by leadership regarding quality and safely of consumer.

Pros

The line level people you work with.

Cons

Everthing else.

If all you wanna do is work in your life this is the place.

I'm one of the employees who is lucky enough to work only 8 hours 7 days a week. Most work 12 hours 7 days a week. I'm also lucky enough to get a day off once every 2 weeks. Normally other operators get one day off every 21 days. Forklift drivers is worse where they are never told when their days off are and could go up to 30 days.

Pros

Money

Cons

No time outside of work

Stressful and too hard - Good pay

This was a pretty bad place to work as the company is understaffed but pushes so much product out the door, you and the machines can barley keep up sometimes. You are just a number here and the managers and team leaders don't treat you well. I and all the other operator I knew there were often told off on a number of occasions for no reason as the machines are terrible and fail so much but the team leader or managers blame you for this. Money is very good, some operators make over 100,000 but none of them like this place, they just stay for the money.

Pros

Good wage, Good floor staff

Cons

Managers are horrible, machines are bad, stressful and toxic workplace

Terrible place to work

Management is out for themselves and run union employees into the ground n grave. They work you 84hrs a week and throw you under the bus every chance they can to take focus off themselves.

Management is awful

There are managers that quit on the job in less than a year. The maintenance team are lazy and hate to come fix the problems with the machines. The managers don’t even last a year and they call off more than the regular employees

Pros

Pay

Cons

Work culture

Former employee, Lima, oh

Not the worst place I've ever work definitely not the the best. Very monotonous and mundane work, 12 hour shifts 2-2-3 rotation was rolled up before I left. NO ROOM FOR GROWTH OR ADVANCEMENT. Lunch would be catered for holidays and other special occasions, I'd prefer cash in hand personally, tons of favoritism, and back for lateral moves seeing not many people move up.Just another Fortune 500 company with a big name that will replace you at the DROP OF A HAT.

Pros

Decent place to work, o.t available.

Cons

Management from plant manager down to the shift supervisors

Healthcare could be better

Meh

Job has a glass ceiling. Production moves at a snails pace, and is constantly blamed for everything. Management/Maintenace has a short memory and won't listen to their operators. Problems are cyclical and ignored until it's tore up to the floor up. Then you get forced to work the weekend to compensate 💩. This happens all the time ♾. Now they want to run 7 days 365 all year with broken decrepit machines on all lines, lmao who do you think has to pick up the slack. If you want the money and have no life 5/10, but those seeking any semblance of balance should avoid at all vosts 0/10!

Pros

Money. Union. Good healthcare

Cons

Everything else too many to list.

Steady work volume

Steady volume of work. Supervisors always worked to provide constant hours in order to receive a sustainable check. Management was great but could benefit from more training in employee relations.

They don't care about their employees.

I worked at PepsiCo one year. You make one mistake they will walk you out the door without a written warning. Upper management will tell your supervisor your on suspension but your really fired! Don’t work here their nice at the beginning then will turn on you very quickly.

Pros

Great pay, medical insurance, 401k

Cons

Work long hours, management doesn’t care if your life long term

Too stressful and not worth the remuneration

PepsiCo regency park was not a bad place to work but the Machine Operator job itself was too stressful and was not worth the remuneration. You would spend 8 hrs under the pump stacking boxes on the floor and then back onto the line (as the conveyer system frequently stopped), fixing the same machine problems everyday, all year round, as nothing was fixed and at the same time rushing paperwork. If you made a mistake on the paper work, which was easy to do, the company gives you a "Red Audit" against your name. PepsiCo itself seems like a good company, however, I would NOT recommend the Regency Park site.

Pros

Remuneration, free chips every week & other operators and shift managers are nice people

Cons

Too stressful

Very hot place to work

Easy but very hot and messy place to work in the summer. Most of the veterans there are grumpy and rude. Makes it hard to work with a positive attitude.
