A lot of work

Indeed featured review

Poor management care and warehouse would force people to come involuntarily. We would work past normal hours and expect a lot to be done with not so many people

Pros

Free drinks

Cons

No social life

Nice

Used to work there and it was cool. Fast paced environment with good amount of overtime. Coworkers were friendly and it was a great location to work as you were next to bars and restaurants

Management is horrible

During the summer you are over worked. Starting at 3pm sometimes you won’t see home till sunrise. The shift is 3pm to 11:30pm but most summer days you’re getting out at 3am or later. People tend to call off a lot. Cell phones are always on the floor, workers extend their 15min breaks to 25 minutes. There’s no positive leadership there at all. Violations almost everyday. The only thing good about this company is the pay. Otherwise the only people who can get off work at a decent time to spend time with family is the managers. You won’t have a life at the Kankakee location or any location where you have no choice to work an additional 7 hours.

Pros

Pay

Cons

Terrible management, overworked, cell phones on work floor, workers going over the 15min break limit

Good place to work I like it only bad thing is the hours

It’s good pay but hard back breaking work and the hours are ridiculous being forced to work your day off only getting 1 day off for months Average 12 hours a day you’ll have no life outside of work if you have a family you won’t see them much

Pros

Good pay free water and Gatorade

Cons

Long hours and no days off

Communication problems

there were no covid protocols at the moment I was fired. I was told I couldn't come back to work without knowing if I had covid. I got fired within two weeks. At the time it was hard to get tested without showing symptoms

Decent job overall

Be prepared to work your entire shift with no downtime. It gets crazy during busy season and you never really get a chance for time at home but the pay and hours are there.

Pros

Plenty of work

Cons

Rough on the body

Good pay. Horrible environment

No work / family life balance. Long hours. Dangerous environment. No employee support or care for employees safety. Only results matter. Bad equipment and even worse management is never considered. I wouldn’t recommend to a homeless person.

Worst place to work Prison was better then that place

They only thing they car about is making money for themselves they would work us for 14-16hrs a day during the 100 days of hail and say that we can’t take no days off and if you have a emergency and don’t go to work but you call them and explain they will say if you don’t show up you will get written up don’t wast your time on a company that don’t care about you

Pros

Nothing

Cons

The Supervisors and the company overall

Productive and average Warehouse environment.

Management will quite often take advantage of people that are on probation. For example, quite often they will try to get you to work into your lunch break. The union will only help you if it's a situation that is totally clear-cut. Anything outside of that, and the company will get the benefit of the doubt!

Pros

The required pace helps the day go by fairly quick. You get a major discount on flawed soda cans.

Cons

The way the job description is set up, advancement is basically doesn't exist.. Upper management believes whatever a supervisor tells them, without any investigation whatsoever.

Don't even bother

I wouldn't say it's the "worst" company to work for, but for the low pay, it's not worth it. The work environment is great... if fit in with their clique. The warehouse employees, managers included, don't understand how to talk about anything that's not political, and don't understand how to respect people with differing views. If you don't fit in with them, they'll single you out of the pack and you'll be reprimanded the most, while they let other workers slide. The productivity quota is too high for the low pay, and during summer, it's especially strenuous, and dangerous to be working at such a fast rate in that hot warehouse. Building maintainence is poor; watch out for the giant potholes while dragging a pallet jack stacked high with breakable items.During winter, hours are cut, as business declines. So good luck paying your bills off that little income. It's hard to have a second job, as there is no set time off, and the hours for each day are nearly impossible to predict.Oh, and there's no water cooler or water fountains. People have nearly passed out during the summer, and they didn't care. Also a very poor handling of the pandemic. No hazardous pay, no masks required, even though they sell beverages to the public.

Pros

8am start time

Cons

Low pay, bad management, toxic work environment, no set time off, unpredictable hours, short breaks, strenuous work, poor ventilation

Stable

One of the better warehouses to work for in Omaha. Everyone is competent on the crew and as long as you pull your weight they are not strict on standard.

Pros

Decent pay

Cons

Limited shifts

If you want to work somewhere where you are constantly watched and forced to performed or be terminated then pepsi is the place for you. Their goals and metrics are close to unattainable.

Ok place to work

I have no problem doing the actual work. The opportunities are there if you're a very and been in your position for at least 6 months. The down fall is that they took away overtime but have us working 6 days 40 hours. Been on 6 days for over 8 months. Been told a number of times that we're going back to a 5 day work week. Oh yea 3rd shift gets treated like a red headed step child

Pros

The workers

Cons

6 days 40 hours, lack of communication

Good pay, poor management

I been with Pepsi for 3 years I worked both side production and ware house. overall it a job and the pay isn’t something I can complain bout. There isn’t a lot of fairness and employees who been in 1-20 years think they rate to not do any work and people under them should do most of the load. When other employees get jealous, seniority will be throw all over the place. Seniority just mean first pick of open shift, vto, vacation date and overtime. If anyone don’t mind some of the B.S that come along and can keep a professional manner. The pay is great, a lot of mandatory overtime. I was able to save up money to purchase a home due to unwanted overtime and hardly any time off.

Pros

Pay, benefits

Cons

Most unsafe company I’ve ever worked for

I had 8 years warehouse house experience going into PepsiCo San Antonio. But nothing prepared me for the ridiculousness of this company. In the summer we worked 15-18 HOURS A DAY. SIX DAYS A WEEK. Absolutely NO family life or life at all outside work. You had to get there one hour early just to get a decent pallet jack because the rest were all broken. The battery chargers? Broken as well. The aisles? Clogged with product and spills everywhere that went I cleaned. ZERO communication between management and us. There’s also no AC or heaters so those 15+ hour shifts made it even more difficult. Do not work for this company.

Pros

Benefits

Cons

Ridiculous hours, broken equipment, no management communication
