My experience in my role started great but very quickly deteriorated as the management decided they didnt want good people so they employed people from previous services that had huge safeguarding issues and placed them in senior roles , trust and duty of care is a massive issue

Don't, it's not worth the stress

If you want something temporary or part-time or are just starting out, then use it as a stepping stone to something better. If you want to settle into a career then avoid this place. Appalling Management and HR, and contsant payroll mistakes. You will be stressed and burnt out with no support except from your colleagues who are in the same boat. There are wonderful service users who deserve better and Management know you will do everything you can to support them, so they exploit that. The only thing Praxis 'Care' about is the amount of money they receive for each service user. Toxic from the top down.

Very stressful, don’t take on board what staff have to tell them

Stay away from this organisation. It’s the most stressful job I’ve ever worked in. They pretend they have no acknowledgement of what’s going on. They hide everything through their paperwork for HIQA just so they can get their certificate.They give the roles of Team Leader and Manager to the most incompetent person who haven’t a clue and don’t even have a social care degree.

Most useless work place ever

Centre of racism,no support from organization.13hrs long shifts no breaks.staffs are not coperative and no team work.team leaders dont even understand the concept of team work.only gives preferential treatment to who is in their good books.dont work here if u want to build a career.

Very stressful

A stressful place to work. No lunch break 12hr shifts. No support from management, too much paperwork when we live in a digital age. Great colleagues but high burn out rate. Avoid it,

Totally avoid this company.

This is a company with a toxic leadership from top down. If you want to have a career in social care., please avoid this company completely, I am saying this from my own personal and professional experience. High PIC turnover, high team leader and support worker turnover, the team leader role is actually a shift leader rule. The most significant toxic behaviour which is being ignored and embraced by the narcissistic and toxic leaders within the company is rise false statements to others and get away with it. Your achievements and exceptional work won't be awarded that is for sure, because your toxic and narcissistic leaders will take all the credit from you, instead you will be put down to make them look good, you won't get the respect you deserved, but you will get micromanaged to make sure you won't have opportunity to make decision, you performance will be monitored and ensure whatever you do that only make your higher management look good but not you. By the way, there has been many disclosers to the HSE, HSA and HIQA about the company, the disclosure will continue happen, because the staff members hate the company and management and each other. Above are the true overview of the company and company culture if you are thinking about applying job in Praxis. If you think you can handle the toxic management and people, plus continuing disclosure about the company and management, you probably will be a good fit to the company. I wish you a best of luck in your career.

Badly managed

Fabulous service users, useless management. No benefits - no sick pay, pension. Minimal training. No support given. Direct management don't care. Higher management really don't care

Management are a nightmare

Find another job do not go there littler picking would be more satisfying. Management blame the small people and are not transparent in anything they do. Change happens daily, one minute its.one rule then another, goal posts always changing. Dont give a hoot about their service users its all profits and margins they should be ashamed to call themselves caring. Good staff leave and cowboys get hired, there is a very bad culture in this company.

Little support with a poor Hr department

Very poor company avoid, poor culture terrible payroll and Hr department and Poor senior management in place. The company focus on profit With little respect for staff or service users

Not good

Payroll have serious issues. Always problems with pay. No communication from HR to floor staff. Poor respect, and support from higher up. Really would not advise to work with this company

Not great company to work for

I worked over 16 years in disability sector before this job and it was thee most stressful place to work. I may have been unlucky in my placement but it's 9 months I will not want to remember.

Good

Very good company to be with. Big plans for the future and lots of room to grow. Can be a high demanding role at times but really worth it. Pay is pretty good but could do with more perks.

Avoid it is not worth the money!

Long hours, no breaks, 2 clients to 1 staff, no appreciation, no support from management, workplace culture non-existent due to high turnover. No support. Training gets canceled last minute due to staff shortages.

Very relaxed

No benefits, no paid sick days, staff are just a number and are not valued within some schemes. To keep staff they would have to pay more competitively with st Michael's house/daughters of charity etc

Not a great organisation to work for

Great learning curve working for Praxis Care. Management from ground up will throw staff under the bus rather than be subjected to investigation..Very poor Work /Life balance as shift need covered & staff constantly pull out of shifts if don't suit as no big loss as there is no sickpay scheme & no o/t rates, Sunday premiums etc.. If I'm truthfully honest I would advise people to avoid at all costs. A job is not worth your sanity or the loss of relationship & they couldn't give a toss about their workforce as there's always someone to cover. They work off of the staffs goodwill be that soon ends

Company is only interested in making profits.

First house to open in midlands. Bad management and very much a paper work exercise were all the boxes are ticked with no real interest in quality of life for service users. Staff feeling unsupported and discouraged . Anyway with social care ethics would find it difficult to work here. Dishonest with regards to funding.
