Productive and fun workplace

Indeed featured review

Ryanair is a good place to work if you are trying to find your feet in the cabin crew world. It shows you the real world of cabin crew and how time consuming and busy the work lifestyle is.

Miejsce pracy

Nie polecam tego pracodawcy. Kadra zarządzająca jest zupełnie niewykwalifikowana co z kolei ma niezwykle negatywny wpływ na pracowników.

Nice experience but low salary.

Great opportunity to have the experience as a cabin crew, but unfortunately the salary is not good to live well. I do miss flying, and it would be better if the company would give overnights and increase the salary.

Fun workplace

My favourite job I ever had. I loved the people I worked with and the customers. Was stressful at times but the laughs made it a lot easier. Would recommend

Good job to get experience

The job is nice, good colleagues and work conditions. However, salary is low and base transfers can be difficult to get if you want to move to a specific base. Job is suited to those looking for cabin crew experience and adventurous types

Pros

Good work/life balance

Cons

Poor salary

Fast Paced and Stressful

Very long and unsociable hours, management constantly micromanaging and a lot of pressure regarding targets and sales. Staff travel discount isn’t that good.

Poor salary

The most interesting part of this job was 6 weeks of training before - very intense, you have to learn a lot, pass exams. But the actual job is paid under the minimum salary in Ireland, which you can not live on, hard to afford the rent payments. Every day you can get new challenges, even with the cabin crew colleagues, some of them can be ignorant and sometimes rude. I met amazing and friendly people as well. Shifts are not bad, 5 days working /3days off (one-week earlies; one week late shifts)

Poor management who don't know what they're doing

Management are extremely incompetent. High turnover of staff. Morale is the worse I've seen anywhere. Any complaints are met with "It's Ryanair, what do you expect"

Cons

Long hours

Fast paced

If you enjoy a challenge and a fast paced environment with a huge opportunity to grow. You need to work hard to be rewarded. No benefits or employer pension. Minimum annual leave of 20 days.

huye con la cabin attestation

Compañía para empezar en el mundillo.Depende mucho de la base que te toque pero generalmente buena gente, compañerismo. MUY MALA ORGANIZACIÓN

Recommend for fast pace, career driven individuals

Love it or loathe it, you will not get better training for a career in a fast paced environment. No two days are the same and bright enthusiastic people tend to get promoted very quickly within the organisation.

Great fun but hard work and terrible pay

Having worked on the Ramp for the last while I can say that Ryanair is the best of a bad bunch at Dublin Airport. The management will pick on those they do not like and give worse flights (heavy and understaffed crews). There is no bonus for extra work or training such as headsets , marshalling or de-icing. The pay is absolutely awful for the work that is required. You will break your back from start to finish on a busy day to the point you will be going home sore and exhausted. Crews typically consist of 4 people to a flight but this is best case scenario and sometimes you are expected to perform a full turn around with a crew of 3 (1 of which is the dispatcher so does not actually get into the hold and help load).Management is awful in terms of the interaction with staff, If your team lead does not like you then you will be shafted with extra flights and made feel excluded from the team. There is a real "click" culture and new staff are often bullied because they may not have the same experience as some more experienced staff and this makes the whole environment feel toxic and stressful. The work-life balance is near non existent given you work 3 earlies and 3 late and 3 off (5:30 - 6am start early or 1:30 -2pm late). this combined with the fact you only get one weekend a month makes having any form of social life impossible.Overall the only good part to this job is the people. You will meet some amazing people on the ramp and have some very good laughs you simply wouldnt get in any other job but that is the only redeeming quality, the pay is simply not enough for -

Difficult place to work enjoyed it for the first while when you like working in the airport but then the management went downhill

The lads and ladies the management like will get nice and easy flights and they will all get permanent contract cause when you first go to Ryanair you will be working for a agency as a baggage handler and not directly. You have to be there a year before they even consider giving you a contract. I was there for two years and just barely got all the training to do more things done because I actually wanted to be able to do things. I was waiting maybe up to a year before I got my airport driving licence just because the trainer and management were to lazy and just didn't want to do any training half the time. I would not recommend this job if you are not physically for hopping in and out of the aircraft and the vehicle you drive.

Pros

Make good friends. Lots of overtime.

Cons

Longs hours, Working in rain, hail, sleet, snow, The protective rain gear they give you will let the rain soak through, No real extra pay for nightshift only an extra 50c, The management can be terrible and unfair just because the manager may not like one specific person

Pros

Fácil ascenso

Cons

Guardias no remuneradas

Very good start to progress your career

Overall an okay company Very good start to progress your careerThe salary is okay Maybe a much bigger salary would be goodWorking hours can be long

Fast paced

Overall the training is the best part about this job! Once the work starts they treat you like another number.. you don’t get paid for boarding passengers or cleaning the plane before and after take off! You are only paid when in the air! Once the place lands your pay stops!

Pros

Crew members

Cons

Long hours, underpaid

Very stressful understaffed

Very stressful, understaffed. Expected to do a mountain of work on your own and get zero thanks for it. Staff toilet was flooded and wasn't repaired for over a month.

Pros

Money

Cons

Not enough staff

Constant tension for no reason.

Office type of job, environment well equipped with all minimum requirements to execute your tasks, fully equipped kitchen, comfortable desk and chair, however, constant renewing team due to a lot of pressure for simple tasks. Great responsibility is given, and definitely you will be asked to comply accordingly. Great start, but saw many people leave due to stress and bad energy around.

Pros

Free tickets from day 1 (subject to availability, but still a pro), possibility to grow in many areas within the company.

Cons

Stressful department, constant pressure, open space, so anyone could hear your discussions, for whatever was the topic, pro or personal.

Interesting fun place to work

All round a Young fun upbeat place to work I would recommend to get experience on your cv . Then move on . Can get hectic in summer but that’s aviation .

Pros

Staff travel

Cons

Salary progression not bad could be better
Was this review helpful?

Difficult to progress

The people are great however expect decisions that take weeks to approve but are expected to be implemented within hours. Management is hit or miss but generally a miss. Don't expect flexible working options.

Pros

Colleagues

Cons

No benefits, minimal work from home
