Working for Smartbox can be rewarding during good times and a pain during the not so good times. The people are great and there's a strong company culture that is cultivated by the employees and teams that work together. There's a disconnect between sales and marketing which needs to be developed and become more collaborative. The senior management sets out goals that appear to be achievable on paper but lack the realistic touch from the staff that need to hit them. As it operates in multiple markets, there's a one size fits all approach that doesn't work given the vast differences between market sizes and brand awareness in each country.

Poor Management, Communication Breakdowns
The warm job environment is the main reason why I worked there for 1year. The colegues were fantastic. The job itself is not well organized, a lot of hours handling calls and too less time dedicated to working on email. The management is not good enough to make the company grow and consecutively a lot of employees decide to quit. Overall, nice experience!
The benefits are great - such as a GREAT healthcare scheme for all employees, even part time or casual workers. They're very invested in their employees, and they have great opportunities for rising in salary depending on individual performance.

C’était le cas a Smarbox, les équipes sont top... il y a une proximité avec les personnes plus hautement placé, il y a un suivi personnalisé sur ton travail. On se sent accompagné et ça ćest chouette. Merci pour cette expérience professionnelle qui aura apporté un gros plus dans mon année d’expatriation en Irlande.

Management very bad. Salary too low. The only good thing was that I learnt a new job. The organization is bad and the huge turnaround is due to the fact that every year it is not sure that you get a salary increase, even though your performance during the year has been good.
It was nice to work there but the job itself was the same every day and once learnt the usual things there were no other things to learn. I think the workplace is fun and there are young and nice people but there are no chances to grow up in the company and this is quite demotivating.

Young staff, fun company with a lot of opportunities, but quite messy and startup-like even though there are 600 employees on site. Good atmosphere with a few organised events. Good chance to learn a lot and evolve.

The company is great to start your career in Dublin, however for a limited time. one of the best thing of this company are the people you'll work with, therefore the management have not people skills and is sad to say that this organization which count more than 500 people only in Dublin, still act as startup. -There is not a clear working method -Not a single software is working properly -Management does not have the necessary skill to conduct the organization -do not expect any training after the first week, because no body cares. -when you are doing the interview, the management will sell you the company as the best to work with, BUT after the first month you will clearly see that there is not substance -high turnover, If you work here you will know a lot of people and sadly you`ll miss a lot of people. there are weeks where there are even 15 leaving party. -no career development. Anytime there is an open position, they would rather wait for months a candidate coming from an other company rather than hiring an internal.

I loved working in Smartbox. The company culture is great, they have a lot of benefits to offer you but because the company is growing so fast, the processes can be really messy. You need a lot of time to handle simple problems and the products has some serious issues.

needed to start really early, no flexible work
I worked as a designer, my experience was: absolutely chaotic, designer team based on friendship. They are an absolute amateur, they do not have any standards. Kind of shame on a big company this condition! Working environment good, but management is awful. The designer of team leader was a punk waitress without any designer background! Good luck!
Nice people to work with, never get bored. I always learned something new every day in 1 year of work there. If you like to be part of a team Smartbox is a nice choice.
