Suir pay the GO rates that are set by the Construction SEO. They do not deviate from this. Historically some GOs got Lodge but this was due to specific site agreements only.
Speaking as a current employee, I had done my research on the company prior to the interview – I had checked the website, plus I also knew a couple of people working in Suir so I spoke to them to get an idea about the culture etc. I also used the job description to help me prepare for questions. There were a lot of questions at the interview but because I had prepared I didn’t feel under pressure and thankfully the prep worked as I got the job 😊
All employees are engaged on a 39 hour a week contract. Within the trade sector, employees work overtime where it is available, however, they are fully paid for this as per set union and SEO rates.
Does Suir Engineering allow for flexible working hours? Or are the hours set?
A little give and take but could be better. Finishing early on a Friday would be nice.
