Overall a good job

Indeed featured review

Good place to work. Great support. Pay is not great. Good progression options. Overall a good place to work. The only flaw is the pay. It is a good starting job

Pros

Work from home

Cons

Pay is not great

Poor work life balance and they lie a lot

Prepare to work 7 days in a row with shifts ending at 10. They expect way too much and don't really give employees a heads up or respect their time. Good job but don't stay too long, the pay isn't worth the hours nor what they expect you to do

Handy if you're looking for office based or WFH experience

I wouldn't recommend staying for very long. Get your experience and find something better. The salary was very poor in general and also compared to the stress you're put under. There's no work-life balance really. Sometimes I had to work 13/15 days. And prepare to work a lot of weekends. Management were nice people but they were unable to offer any real support due to the work being so stressful and not enough of them being available. Training was insufficient especially due to the reactive nature of the job. Mental health webinars are a waste of time

Nice environment to work

Opportunity to collaborate and work life balance is top notch and environment allows for learning new product and again knowledge transfer is at its best

Great for short term, not a job that you would want until retirement

Management work hard to create an enthusiastic and motivating environment, probably more so than any other company, likely to compensate for the low rate of pay. Perks are minimalistic ( no Christmas bonus, but a hamper )

Stressful and not worth your time

Business doesn't recognise the work employees do. Low pay for high stress job. High turn over rate due to the managers being overly nit picky and putting additional stress on employees.

very stressful and pay could be better, but they provide good opportunities for growth

I believe the pay should be better given the fact that the job can be quite stressful. However, the company offers good opportunities for growth and overall takes good care of its employees.

Easy but brain drainning

The Job is easy but brain tasking and the pay are just there. Advancement to a new role is kinda hard. But if looking for a job that can just take care of your bills then its cool

Une bonne boîte pour un emploi peu qualifié

Entreprise très agréable, recrutement facile, emploi sans difficulté.

Very chill

Recommend if you want to work in a fast paced environment with lovely co-workers. And it is nice to see your colleagues from all over the world which has lively environments.

Very hard to progress based on who you know

Very low pay for the amount of work required. People always taking credit for others work. Upper management do very little and pass the work to people below. Can be a very frustrating environment

Great people to work with but hours all over the place and pay is not great

Great people to work with but hours all over the place and pay is not great. Working from home can be tough as not a huge amount of support. High turn over of staff in general

Stressfull and bad manegement

I worked in this company for 9 months, I honestly would NOT recommend working there unless if you are desperate. the management is awful and they never know anything. the targets are absolutely unrealistic to reach every single day. In general , is a place to work for a short term while you find another job.

Pros

friendly people

Cons

unrealistic target, low salary.

Official response from TELUS International

Hello. We appreciate your review. Thank you for letting us know the areas of opportunity you mention to work on that.

It all depends on the contract

Depending on what contract you have the work will very and so will the quality. My contract was great, management was lovely, work was relaxed. I was working with people who had moved from other contracts where things were totally different.

Pros

Loads of opportunities to move positions and advice.

Cons

Long hours, low pay.

It had everything to be an excellent company

They know how to sell themselves. Induction day will get you all excited. The contract I worked for is good and I could get a lot of experience from it.But the truth is that I had so many problems with rosters and payslips that it's just not worth it. They will change you roster and put you to work on the weekends you were before off, with no notice at all and they don't care if you had plans and already paid for it. You better show up! Also there's always a surprise on your payslip. They will either forget to pay your bonuses, discount you for hours you can prove you were online and working, and the few times they offer you to work some overtime and make some extra money, it takes months to get the full amount paid as they can't update the payroll system correctly. If you need experience in your CV, go for it, but go knowing you will have to have patience and fight for what it's yours.

Horrible company to work for

Absolutely terrible company to work for, job is not as described. Working hours are unpredictable so a work life balance is not possible. Rostered to work late shifts (10pm or 8pm) most of the time for what was advertised to be a typical 9-5 job. You will have to work weekends and bank holidays (incl Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Stephens Day - you will typically get one of these days off) and are not allowed to book holidays on the weekends you are rostered to work. If you try to contact HR you will be waiting at least 2 weeks for a response.Management are only focused on numbers and support reviews given by the customers & each month send in a report (which can be seen by all) showing productivity and number of tickets solved and they are usually unhappy. Training is long but not sufficient, you are thrown in to the deep end having to call each customer and deal with complicated problems you have no idea about. Everything you do is monitored and you have to change your status on your computer to ‘personal’ go to the toilet. If you forget to change your status managers demand to see your internet history. I have not one good thing to say about this company.

Pros

Nothing

Cons

Hours Management Training Horrible call centre

Work-life balance

I work as a freelance quality analyst for Telus International AI. Time is flexible since I can do the task anytime, but there are days where we get low volume of tasks to do.
