Fine for a temporary gig
Sales Assistant (Former Employee) - Dublin, County Dublin - 27 September 2023
Indeed featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedMenial work, managers can oftentimes be poorly trained The work can be pretty mindless but the pay is okay for the work and it’s honestly fine for a few short years as a temporary job

Productive but boring days
Warehouse Operative (Former Employee) - Ballymun, County Dublin - 22 September 2023
Not great not awful . Good facilities and management seemed to be helpful for the most part. Potential to progress is minimal. Work is repetitive and at times stressful.

Depressing and very clicky
General Assistant (Current Employee) - Ballina, County Mayo - 20 September 2023
Company is trying to cut corners in every possible way especially when it comes to staff. It actually used to be a fairly good and fun place to work but over the years it’s going downhill rapidly. God help you if you have any length of service with this company because all they will want is rid of you for it. New contracts are worthless

Kept busy
Sales Assistant (Former Employee) - Dublin, County Dublin - 20 September 2023
Decent hours, always kept busy whether on tills or shop floor so shift goes quickly. Flexible hours so very hand if you are a college student. Pay could be better.

Productive
Sales Assistant (Former Employee) - Dublin, County Dublin - 19 September 2023
Really nice job. Kept busy during shift with restocking and delivery. The pay was good, also got a colleague discount which was handy. Managers were all supportive and nice. Other colleagues were easy to get along with

Good place to work
Customer Assistant (Current Employee) - Dublin, County Dublin - 18 September 2023
Good experience here , lots of opportunities to develop , busy workplace and a fast paced environment only con is staff shortages which can make the workload a lot harder to handle

Not the best
Customer Assistant (Current Employee) - Thurles, County Tipperary - 12 September 2023
Honestly management need to communicate better with each other because one manager tell you to do something and another tells gives out for doing it. Always been told to go faster. Certain people get away with murder but others watched like a hawk. The pay isn’t worth how customers treat you and they treat you worse in here I feel cause management have a “customer is always right” mindset. Could go on for hours but if the management was better I would love it cause my colleagues are lovely and will comfort you when you’re upset and the security guard will try his best to help more than some managers

Toxic
Sales Assistant (Current Employee) - Dublin, County Dublin - 7 September 2023
Bad place to work no room for progression and poor management. Premium time taken away from us and newer staff on a higher flat rate. Don’t get stuck in here

Warehouse Operative (Former Employee) - Derry, County Cork - 31 August 2023
Ok to work in but can get very stressful sometimes, money ok but could be better management ok. All in all just ok to work in at times. Working day consists of early starts with sometimes late finishes

Okay place to work
Cashier (Former Employee) - Dublin, County Dublin - 12 August 2023
Pro: Great opportunities to progress and always busy with day to day duties. Con: Understaffing and low pay hourly rate is causing a lot of turnover and destroying moral within stores.

Fair
Customer Service (Former Employee) - Douglas, County Cork - 31 July 2023
Decent and fair work and very easy to get by in. Work reasonably and there won’t be any problems. Great as a college job or a first time job. Contracts are getting worse now for new employees

Under staffed and over worked
Shop Floor Assistant (Former Employee) - Birr, County Offaly - 26 July 2023
You are expected to do the job of 2 people. I suffer with back issues as a result of the pressure to complete massive deliveries on my own in a short space of time.

Fun and rewarding place to work
Customer Assistant (Former Employee) - Galway - 18 July 2023
Overall working at Tesco was a good experience. Always had a laugh with my colleagues and there was always great chemistry amongst the staff. Some downsides include the negative encounters you can have with rude customers and also the shift patterns you can be expected to work sometimes.

Night shift
Store assistant (Former Employee) - Maynooth - 7 July 2023
Good pay Easy enough work. Big shop but are given a certain amount to do each night and it keeps you occupied. Staff are friendly also. Fair play in the workplace

Repetitive
Care Agent (Former Employee) - Waterford, County Waterford - 7 July 2023
Repetitive work environment, Horrible staff treat you like a number and not a person. Heavily statistic based where one mistake is treated like a bombshell in the office and will set what type of person you are in their eyes. Pay is good if you can handle the TLs and Ops managers as most of them are snobs

Co workers only positive
Customer Assistant (Former Employee) - Ireland - 5 July 2023
Each department had their own manager. My manager was awful. I envied the other departments as they had much nicer managers. The people made the job bareable

Customer Assistant (Former Employee) - Dublin, County Dublin - 29 June 2023
Good enough training provided for an entry level role. Nice team of coworkers. Managers can be a mixed bag. Challenging at first but ya get used to it soon.
