Yes. They encourage you to progress and train in different areas. Management will give you a booklet to go through and tick off as you learn
I would say yes because any good manager or supervisor would try to leave for a better job ASAP so it would free up positions. Saying that, sales assistants end up stuck on a till due to lack of labour budgets and therfore restricting decent training.
